You happy now you Collingwood idiot?!?!? If you think Collingwood are premiership material...you are going to be in for a shock! But keep on deluding yourself...just means that you are going to suffer a greater disappointment when you fail to make the finals...again!!!

Bad luck to Matty Primus. I really do feel for the bloke. He's been having a stellar year, so i hope his knee isn't a bad as it seems. If he is gone for the year, it would be a tragedy and put a huge dent in Port's chances :(

Abuser, as a fellow pies supporter all I can say is your a moron. Your just lucky that we held on for the win.

As goes for us winning our next flag, try about 2004!

CJ,

And look at what stage of the game that moron made that prediction. Good win by the pies after being challenged...but that was wayyy OTT. I think your supporters have to learn to 'keep a lid' on things

topdon,
I know, thats why I called him a moron. Also, us regular posters end up trying to clean up their crap!

Well, from what I saw on TV last night, they acted like they'd just won the flag.

Who the the hell does Eddie Maguire think he is????? Running round the oval like a bloody idiot. If the Crows Hierarchy carried on like that after a win they'd be ridiculed all over town. Even when we did win two p/ships the Board members didn't presume to run round the oval like a player. Get off the grass Eddie, and behave with a little maturity, and leave the celebrations to the true champs, the players.

Collingwood 2001-2010 Premiers!!!!!!

Abuser,
Remember this post of yours as I think it will come back to haunt you at some stage. There are at least 5 really good teams you will have to beat to win the GF. The season is not over by a long shot. I'll give you 8 of 10 for optimism, though.

Get lost Crow you idiot. Just another example of Eddie bashing. So who the hell is the president of Adelaide, I wouldn't have a clue. I would rather have someone like Eddie any day for my club.

As for what he did on the ground. I would say that the people brave enough to go over there and support in the cheer squad would have been rapt to sing the club song after a win with the palyers and the palyers would have been to. It is a credit to him you pompos git.

If Adelaide did the same you would walk away and not sing along would you? Yeah right. Just concern yourself with your own people. All everyone does is get stuck into Ediie all the time and for what having some passion for his club.

Has your president ever got onto the internet site as a regular person to post subjects about certain matters and crowd support etc, I think not. This bloke may be sucessful, have truck loads of money but he has brought so much to this club, you have no idea.

No other president in the league runs two TV shows and shoves collingwood down everyones throat every 5 minutes. The guy is a complete fukwit with no brains. If any other president in the league ran a TV show and rammed their club down everyones throat, and brought everything that anyone says back to their own club, everyone would get a little sick and tired of it as well. It isnt the Footy Show...its the Collingwood Show and its a fuking joke to say the least.

It was good to see the Pies players go over to the cheersquad and sing the song, im not doubting that...or eddies presence on the ground...i am, like many other people are sick of his fat face on television shoving Collingwood down everyones throats at every oppurtunity

Eddie is a champion! I don't suppor the pies in anyway, but i think that he does a great job! When you have as much publicity as they are giving him, of course people will get sick of him....

Eddie seems really down to earth and I think he is a typical supporter of his club. Just because he is famous doesn't mean he has to change the way he supports his club.

Bad ********ing luck eh. Yep it is the Collingwood show and I love every minute of it. And I bet the sponsors who are lining up are to. If you don't like it, don't watch it dickhead. Maybe your state should have their own show, all 200 people might watch it. You can have that total moron Jarman as the host. Gee funny bloke he is!!

You ignorant, passion-less, South Australian, compost-canary supporting, armchair-reclining, bourgeois, conservative, anal-retentive piece of uninformed red, blue and gold offal.

I'll tell you who Eddie McGuire (correct spelling) thinks he is.

He thinks he is a boy from Broadie who has done very well for himself in life, who has grown up to become the President of the Football Club that he has supported all his life.

And despite the fact that he's done a bit better in terms of fame and fortune than most of us, he still sees himself as one of us. And that is why, at the end of that match, he brought his team and several board members and officials over to the Southern End of Football Park to sing the Club Song with the Cheer Squad.

Although Eddie is a jet-setter who stays at all the best hotels when he travels around, he still reckons he's not above paying tribute to those of us who had to do a 10-hour bus trip there and back to show some support for our Club.

And he reckons he's not above paying tribute to our small group of loud and proud supporters, who, at great toll to our vocal chords, chanted our living hearts out against 35,000 one-eyed, arrogant, over-confident, Teal Blue toss-pots.

And anyone who happened to be privileged enough to be one of us Collingwood-proud, black-and-white-blooded, sleep-deprived Magpie maniacs at the Southern End of Moron Park on Saturday night will know how much it meant to us to have the team and several Club officials, including our much-loved President, the boy from Broadie who made good, come over to us after the game and sing that song with us.

I can tell you this. I was in tears. That was the proudest moment I have ever experienced at a game of football. It was better than a premiership. Because it was done for us. And it was genuine.

And you, Crow54, wouldn't know what I'm talking about, would you? Because your club doesn't operate like that. I bet you've never even met your club president.

Well, I have. And I'm just a member of the Cheer Squad.

I bet your club president has never shouted you a drink.

Well, here's a little story:

After the game a small group of Cheer Squad members were taking a stroll around Adelaide when we noticed a group of Collingwood people sitting in a bar on North Terrace, just across the road from the Casino. Among them was Mick Gayfer, Neil Balme, several officials and members of the coaching staff ... and our President, the aforementioned Mr.McGuire. We waved to them. Eddie recognized us and invited us in for a drink. We sat in there for about half an hour or so, chatting and drinking.

He didn't invite us in as a corporate networking exercise. It's not as if we were going to make a five or six-figure sponsorship offer or anything. The only reason Eddie wanted to have a drink with us is because we were fellow Pie fans who'd made the trip to Adelaide to support our boys.

The reason he recognised us is because he has taken a close personal interest in the Cheer Squad this year.

So, tell me Crow54. What does your club president think of your cheer squad?

I'm not saying any of this to big-note myself, because I'm just a run-of-the-mill garden-variety Collingwood supporter. I'm saying it because you've just made an ignorant uninformed slur on our President.

You seriously need to get a life.

You seriously need to get a heart.

And you seriously need to get a real club.

Better than a premiership? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.
ROLMFAO HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.

What would you know about premierships? it's not as if you can compare them with each other. 1 premiership in 40 years, and that single lonely 1 was 11 years ago, so you've probably forgotten what they're like.

YOU, YOUR OTHER MORONIC LOSER PIE **** FANS, YOUR FAT 100-chinned PRESIDENT & YOUR PATHETIC CLUB ARE A DISGRACE TO THE COMPETITION. YOU ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR CLUB'S PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A MODERN ERA. AND YOU WONT WIN ANY IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS EITHER!

HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME YOU GUTLESS WIMPY COLLINGSCUM LOSERS.

Great story Alf.

There's nothing better than reading about individuals and groups of supporters that love their clubs so much. Whether it's your average club member in the street to your club President, all are united in their support of their footy team.

Well done to Eddie too. I certainly don't begrudge him in any way. I've been a fan of his since reading an article about him a few years. He has worked very hard to get where he is today, starting as a 13yo writing reports on district cricket for The Herald.

There was a story in Inside Footy a few weeks ago about Rod Butterss. We were all in the social club room at Colonial waiting for Stewie Loewe to come on stage. After he appeared, Rod stepped outside onto the balcony where a lot of our supporters were having a smoke. One of our supporters immediately recognised him and introduced himself and a mate. His mate had no idea who he was and asked him. Butterss just smiled and said "Hi, I'm Rod".

Obviously Butterss doesn't have the profile of Eddie and is able to mingle with the supporters without being recorgnised. There were about 1000 of us crammed into the social club room that night a few weeks ago. When Butterss and Stewie Loewe addressed us all, I just felt so proud to be a saints fan. It might sound silly but I considered that to be like a Grand Final victory.

Having said all that, I hope Collingwood hit the ground with a thud next week against the saints. Quite frankly, I think we have waited long enough for a victory.

;)

The Abuser,

Great name you've got there. Very appropriate.

What a funny guy. Pretends to be a Collingwood supporter and then turns out to be having a lend of us.

Hardy har har.

What a guy. What a real card. I bet you wear lampshades on your head at parties and drink from the goldfish bowl. You're the sort of guy who's always flaked out in the bath-tub in the morning.

What a regular Bob Hope.

Just as a bit of background info ... I come from S.A. And when I lived there I barracked for Port Adelaide in the S.A.N.F.L.
I've seen more premierships than you've had hot dinners. In fact the number of premierships I saw Port win would exceed your IQ.

Good-bye.

great story alfy!!!! You really are a passionate man about your club. I respect Eddie Mcguire...only reason i cant stnad him is his attitude on the footy show where he brings any story, or anything anyone says back to Collingwood. Its like teh six degrees of Kevin Bacon thing...except with COllingwood. And it tends to wear a bit thin after a while.

I know what your talking about tho about how Eddies just a local boy whos done good for himself. I also know what its like with your president close to your cheersquad. Ive spoken to Ports CEO and president plenty of times. I know Mark Williams but dont speak to him much at all. The port guys are very appraochable and down to earth. In fact for our 125 year anniversary back in 1995, instead of having a huge dinner banquet thing...Port decided to organise a fish and chips down the port dock with the real supporters of the club...$10 charge or something and it was a great fun evening spending it with past and present players staff and supporters.

Its good to see the president taking an interest in the real supporter base of the club

Well Alf, you have made my day. I almost went through a box of tissues reading your post.

You're right.... in fact I am now a converted Magpie fan. Your club is truly so great, that I'm now sending back my Adelaide Gold membership card.

Eddie's picture is now going up on my wall. How could I have been so mistaken. The man is surely a god.

Alfy, please welcome me with open arms, I am desperate to join your mighty cheer squad, and sit down with your officials for a cup of coffee.

My life has not been worth living in the past. Those two back-to-back premierships mean nothing....they weren't won by the right club!

I hope the fish n chips came from the Ozone Fish Cafe on Commercial Road, not far from the Black Diamond Corner. That place makes the best fish n chips in the world. Not so great for the cholesterol maybe. But jeez they taste great.
