Good luck to the tiges for the year I am married to one so see a few of your games

You ought to know though that Browny is Terrys love child and he has high respect for him.
I as a doggie thought it was too close wen he played for us and athe fact that a player can rock up to a coaches house in 3.00 in the morning drunk does me seems a little strange.

I thought Bowdo should have got vice

If Cogs regains 2003 form over the next couple seasons id tell Johno to hand it over after 2 or 3 years.
absolutely disagree..give the guy a chance...if we make finals for the next couple of years how could they justify takeing it off sugar...

Only reason would be age, not lack of performance. He'll be 30 in three years time. Might need to concentrate on keeping his body right and fit.

I'm sure he will prove to a great captain in the meantime.

Agreed 100%
Richo would have been a stop gap captain, filling in 2 years at the most
Sugar has at least 3+ years of good form and fitness until he will start to decline after 30
There is no reason he should hand over the captaincy earlier than any other reason than form
Cogs, Jackson & Deledio have 10-15 years of football left in them still, thats plenty of time to lead the team

Congratulations to Sugar.

Personally I thought Brown would have been the best choice. He is the most talented player on the list and the responsibility of captaincy could have brought the best out of him, and shown the others the level they should be aiming at. Would have been an element of risk though and Johnson was the safer bet. He will be a solid, if not spectacular captain and is very consistent and dedicated.

The fact that these two have been at the club for a total of 3 years and are now captain and vc shows why the club threw the farm at getting them and tried for others like Solomon. Lack of leadership in the existing group was a real problem.
