For 5 seasons I've been on Mike's side hoping he gets away with it. Tonight I was like meh. Stop showing him in prison. I hope he gets shanked.

Happy to have Louis and Harvey back though.

Imagine how much better this show would be if Rachel got hit by a bus. One can only hope.

Good to see the writers were able to put in a classic Louis scene with the ashes :thumbsu:

Meghan Markle's acting is horrendous.

Writing is pretty awful at times too, but I still enjoyed the episode.

Say what you want about her acting, but nobody rocks a turtle neck like she does.

Imagine how much better this show would have been if they stopped making the Find out who knows Mike's a fraud? seasonal arc, and stopped it once and for good once Louis leveraged Jessica to make him named partner?

Was it that hard to just give us the weekly grab ass in the kitchen, Louis is a loveable w***er. throw in a major case every now and then, rinse and repeat storyline to finish up the series?

There can be only one Prison Mike.

Is it just me or has the dialogue mostly devolved into a series of arguments over the past season or so?

It seems like most scenes now revolve around a confrontation of some sort

Interesting article here:
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...explains-prison-twist-and-louis-big-year.html

But it was the last question that doesn't fill me with confidence.

Do you a cliffhanger planned for the midseason finale?
Korsh: We are writing Episode 9. I have a vague idea of what 10 is, even though it shoots in a week and a half. It has not been written yet. And [the writers] have a ton of ideas for the back six that I don't know what they are yet. I mean, I vaguely know. Over the course of three or four weeks, we have to write [Episode] 10, figure out how we're going to end it and then figure out what we're going to do in the back six. And honestly, I have no idea what we're going to do.

They haven't even written episode 10 and they're shooting it in less than a fortnight. Says to me they have no idea where the show is going and they're just making it up as they go. Doesn't sound too promising. Mind you I did like the first episode, even if the twist was predictable.

I think Rachel has overstay her welcome on Suits. Her character is no longer useful to the development of Mike.

Episode 2 spoiler:
Donna, being her usual awesome self, “figures out a way for [Rachel] not to have to wait a month” to see Mike in prison, executive producer Aaron Korsh previews. “We open Episode 2 on that. So that’s just a tiny example of the things Donna does to keep people connected” this season.

Harsh on Meghan.

I personally don't like how Donna is protrayed. She gives me the impression on being fake or over acting (especially her facial impressions). She can be a condescending twat to Louis.
Whether it is poor writing or poor acting, I don't know. Probably both.

Yeah, I get that too.

I think it's mainly poor writing.

Donna is meant to a this superior presence around her, and she's meant to 'own it'. And her personal life is a bit of a mess, which is to be expected from this kind of character.

Though, she does remind be a bit of Donna Moss from The West Wing especially with the way they interact with their bosses and work so well with them; but Moss was less up herself about it.

Did not like the first ep. Too much time wasting arguments just to fill in time. Couldn't care less what happens to Mike seeings as he is where he belongs and thats not how your supposed to feel about the main character. It seems they have lacked a real plan for where this show is going for a season or two now.

Not a fan of the direction this show has taken but I'll stick with it and haven't lost hope. The actual legal drama side of things is what got me hooked and its completely dissapeared.

I think they've bottled it.

They should've let him get off, the fake lawyer bit is done as a plot device, and the show was good enough to continue without it.

They've gone in the wrong direction; it will likely totally change the type of show it is, and I don't think it will work.

Straight away, this episode had some ridiculous shit in it to try and drive the story;

Mike telling his life story and giving some scumbag Rachel's number, the first night he meets him?

When did he get so stupid??

Harvey and Jessica's response to their firm being arse ****ed and having possibly one night to fix it, is to get stoned?

Completely and utterly out of character.

I've got no issue with the Mike in jail storyline, show would've gotten stale imo if the 6th season was just the same old story as the last four, over and over and over and over....plus it was becoming ridiculous that Mike kept getting away with it.

Jessica and Harvey getting stoned was silly tho and they need to be careful some of the characters like Donna and Louis don't become caricatures of their former selves.

If the show goes to the shitter it will be due to the soap opera crappy writing that rears up too often lately, not cos of its new direction. That's just my take tho, I appreciate others enjoy the show differently. I loved the last season for the most part.

Massive overacting this episode back from the break.

It's rare that I will ever notice it but the trio in the office getting high were just trying too hard. The time for awards has passed them by, it's unfortunate for them but it doesn't make them failures.

Mike telling everything to the first guy he met was a massive cringe. Of course he was a betrayer.

Also I'd be very surprised if anybody here didn't get that Louis was super loaded with money from the first moment he didn't want to say his number and especially once Harvey and Jessica speculated he was well under them.

It was good and I enjoyed it but it was sloppy.

I didn't guess either of those things you assume everyone knew before it happened.

It's the old bait and switch. Obvious writing tactic.

I would also assume the show is cooked now if they have no idea what they're doing 2 weeks away from filming.
Cool, as I said above, I don't look that closely into shows I watch, they are meant to just be a nice stress reliever after a day at work for me.
