I get the whole defining the relationship status of the characters, but I'm surprised how they ended it. Not that I have any idea how to write a TV show, but I would've loved the finale to finish with scene with Jessica, Louis and Harvey (sans Donna) toasting to a new era.

I finally got around to finishing the season, although there are still 6 episodes left.

Yeah, really disappointing season. The show is continuing down its downward spiral.

I think the show serves better off as almost a new case every episode, with an overarching story plot, which is what it used to do in its hay day.

The Louis Litt thing was just ridiculous. It was like a soap drama in and of itself, and it was like the actor of Louis Litt requested in his contract that he would get to sleep with a hot chick. Their relationship made literally no sense.

This show has so much potential though. They have great characters, but they just can't nail the storylines.

I thought Rachel becoming Jessica's protege was a really good and interesting move, but now that's been nipped in the bud.

I was starting to look forward to, okay Mike is out, now Pearson, Spector and Litt featuring Donna, Rachel and Mike (and the black lady), work their way up into becoming a powerhouse law firm.

Agree on the potential, I like each of the characters but after tiring of the initial storyline of Mike learning to be a lawyer whilst keeping his secret they seem to really struggle to build storylines that really work.

Also think its a shame if they have written out the market trader, was starting to like him and thought he could add a nice outside view to all the lawyering.

While different, didn't mind season 6 in some ways. Louis has had crap storylines for around 4 seasons now, and in season 4 especially which was almost to the point of stopping watching it. They just go too far for too long with it - season 6 though has transcended into way too much.

E10 was awful - somewhat convinced I am happy to leave it there with how crap that was in writing, acting and plot line. Not wondering at all what is next, which tells me the end of me watching the show is nigh.

Mike being in prison was always going to cripple the show. Doesn't give them much to work with. But it had to happen. As someone mentioned they need to be focusing on cases but the highlights of this season so far has been anything but and to reinforce that, the Jessica/Rachel plot line was probably the most interesting.

I wonder if Jessica was booted out for story or the character wanted to leave. Either way it might add a different dynamic to the show.

Think the next 6 eps will tell us if there's any scope for improvement going forward.

The actress chose to leave as she lives on the West Coast and they film in Canada every year.

Hopefully she left because Firefly has secretly been green lit to be resurrected...

Dreaming I know :(

Well after having a show cancelled getting out before the end is a good move because Suits is in a downward spiral.

The Louis love interest was probably the lamest most concocted bullshit romance I've seen in a tv series this decade which is a big disappointment from this show. The cast can't cover shit writing.

I watched the first 2 episodes as they aired and wasn't enjoying them much, so I waited til they were all out (and watched all of game of thrones) and I enjoyed them a lot more that way.

Going to miss Jessica and her god damns.

Is it just me or should the dad in the Leonard Bailey case have been charged with witness tampering?

Yeah I will miss Gina for sure. We still have Donna and Rachel but they don't carry the same authority and drive for the story as Jessica.

As for your last question it depends on the statute of limitations but it doesn't really matter, the arc was about Jessica finding herself as a criminal lawyer to do good for people as a final ode to her character on the show.

As a side note Abigail Spencer (scottie) is doing a new show called Timeless. Some sort of time travel sci fi, I'm gonna watch it today if I have time.
