What's bizarre is that it's not even a gamble they need to take. They have Mou coming in and tons of money. I just dont get why they need a 35 year old striker.

Searched Falcao. Most of them did.... And with ADM (probably more understandable).

If it works. Best of luck to them. If it doesn't it'll be yet another transfer window where they've laughably fapped over a signing.

Talented player but at the age there are inherent risks which make this a gamble.
Of course most would have, at that point Falcao wasn't known to be completely crippled and it was a loan move done on the last day.

Because we have Martial and Rashford coming through.

If Zlatan comes his main role will be as a mentor to those two.

Knowing Mou if Zlatan comes he'll be used up top every week.
If he performs then who cares?

Martial to the left, Rashford to the right, Zlatan in the middle.

I'm not even convinced he is coming but let's not forget that a striker in the PL has had a excellent season if they scored 20 or more goals, something United haven't had for a while, if Ibra comes in a scored 15+ I'd be happy.

Fair enough, i guess it'd be cool of it does work out. You have got a couple of good young strikers on your hands, hopefully they can get a look in and its not all Zlatan and Rooney. But im not so sure with Mou.

Think Rooney will be played as a 10 and not as a striker at all.

Martial is in no danger of not starting each game from the left. Rashford will play a fair bit but is young enough that it's not going to effect his progress.

United linked to activated Pjanics buyout of just under 30m.
Now that one would be a good get. Not sure where he would play with Zlatan and Rooney in the XI (presumably Shrek shoehorned into CM). Could see him a bit like Mata, not able to play in his best position to cater for "bigger names" at the club. That aside, a quality footballer.

If that buyout is accurate then surely more sides are into him for that.

Benteke isnt slow.
And Benteke doesn't have 1/10th of the skill or off the ball work of Ibra.

Kind of negates that.

Giroud has done ok. Pelle ok.

Most of these guys aren't worthy to carry his bag in. I think they will have enough pace next to him.

This will drag on for a while.

He changed his Twitter heading to a pic of Leicester lifting the trophy. A small but good sign for Leicester if true - but how no decision yet? It's interesting.
Interesting as well that the club is offering him an improved deal. Looks like he might stay.
