Few players on the chopping block/leaving us at seasons end.

GK: Bogdan
CB: Skrtel, Toure, Caulker (Back at QPR), Ilori, Dan Cleary (Released)
FB: Enrique (Released), Wisdom
CDM: Rossiter (To Rangers)
AM/W: Teixeira, Alberto
ST: Benteke, Balotelli, Sinclair

Possible loan spells for Ward(Huddersfield), Ibe(Lower ranked EPL side) and Randall(Norwich) too. Allen linked with Swansea but hope he stays.

Only Toure and Skrts ill be sad to see go. But Skrtel in particular has aged quickly. Not good enough anymore. Kolo is a legend though and I hope he stays on one more season.

Poch says we were on holiday. That's not acceptable - now after a great season we still have given out the lol ammo to other fans and the Goonas have bragging rights yet again - despite as I think we can all agree being an inferior team this season.

Some deadwood still to be cleared out then. Our back-up mid's are clearly not good enough. More business for us required than I initially thought

If I was a footballer, living in Paris or Barcelona would be pretty high on my list. Would be hard for Goetze to turn down Paris , especially after living in Bavaria.

When you are super wealthy. Living anywhere is pretty sweet. Whether it be Paris, Barcelona, Liverpool, Perth, Aberdeen, London, NYC... no ****s are given.

Bolton News reporting Arsenal have had a big rejected for Rob Holding. They want 7 million and Arsenal bid 5 million.
It staggers me that a big club like Arsenal continue to penny pinch on recruiting the top british young players. Seriously is an extra 2mil mean that much for a club like Arsenal?

this.

most of the Dortmund players live outside of the city in the country areas. It's just an industrial town - not awful by any means, but its like a very populated Newcastle without a beach

I guess it would be hard to actually live a life in popular cities without having a camera in front of your face which would be a pain

Still, Paris for me. It's so much bigger than BCN/Madrid/Manchester/Munich and less fanatical, so anonymity would be far more likely. Unless you are Zlatan

Yeah nah.

When your super wealthy, the point is, YOU have the choice to live anywhere, which is usually the best cities.

It's part of the whole deal.

would much rather live in Nice than Paris. Wouldn't get the 100k per week pay check but i'm sure i could make ends met on 20k  Munich would be high on my list too.

Yeah nah. The most important aspect for a player is the club they are joining is wages and/or how the club suits his career. If a players happy with the first two factors the city where they play doesn't matter too much at all. They've got the rest of their lives to live where they want.

You know what though?

Wages usually correlate to the best cities though, because they have the highest commercial interest.

It's why Arsenal and Manchester will always have higher wages than Liverpool.

That theory is blown out of the water by the wages on offer in China. Terrible place to live but plenty of footballers happy taking the absurd money on offer. Pretty sure Lavezzi earns more than Suarez.

Liverpool is nowhere near the shithole it once was though. Granted there are still parts of it you wouldn't want to be caught at night wearing a United shirt, but that's the same with most large cities the world over - and football players certainly won't be visiting those parts of town.

There are some really exclusive, expensive residential areas close to Liverpool. You have Cheshire near by and up the coast you have places like southport. I saw where Stevie G lives, trust me there was nothing wrong with at all

Yeah, definitely would be. Kante, Xhaka, El-Nenny, Coquelin, Ramsey, Wilshere & Cazorla is fantastic depth for CM.

Would up his game even further IMO if he were to join.
I suspect he'll end up with you but he's already proven to be the best DM in the PL this season. What facet of his game do you think will improve by joining Wenger? (I mean this genuinely, I actually want to know haha).

If two clubs are offering the same wages/contract length and are around the same level of ambition then the location could certainly be a factor in their decision, doubt anyone would turn down more money at Liverpool to sign for West Ham though.
