Disagree, we get good crowds when United is doing well, that means scoring goals.
This is a fallacy.

Crowds here have dropped every season, even in our title winning year crowds over 10K were rare until we got nearer to finals.

What are our crowds at the moment? You seriously don’t think if they would be better if we were scoring goals and winning?

Let him rot in the seconds then.
What I'm saying is he's our highest paid player, we dont exactly have room to sign much.

We have the opportunity to sign an injury replacement player but once again we dont have a bottomless pit of money to sign another Toivonen.

Fornaroli looks like he will be available but hes a lazy footballer and Kurz hates lazy.

Our recruiting team leads a lot to be desired.

Roundabout 9K, my guess is winning a couple of games would get a few more through the gate but not much. Look at Port this year, flying at the beginning but people still dropped off. The leagues crowds are down across all teams.

Hindmarsh as good as it is, is a tired place in need of work.

Yes and no.

Weve signed some quality in the last 2 or 3 seasons but weve been let down by poor fitness and enormous injury records. Baba for instance, didnt have any history of injury before arriving....... it's like Burton is in control of AUFC too.

It's the same bs evey year, where we are competitive, create chances but no one to score.
Credit to kurz for calling out to the owner to get him one or risk another mediocre season.

The same every year ?? We could've had Ronaldo himself last year and we wouldnt have scored such was our ineptitude at crossing.

This year started well but has followed a similar path. We create chances but how many of them are actually good ??

Last night yes, but we were playing against 10 men who sat back and allowed us the ball and the only times we got close were set pieces and the odd scramble in the area, which we should have scored from I must admit.

The bullet delivery from Goodwin and Marrone had all but disappeared and Galloway isnt providing the same threat he was. Teams have figured out how we play, and we have no one to run through the middle to create.

That's why Boland is crucial, hes due back next weekend I believe.

Crowds being down have nothing to do with a striker, crowds are flat league wide.

The problem for the A-League is it’s competing with other comps like the NBL, BBL, plus the tennis and other sports/events for attention.

The A-League was at its prime crowd wise when the NBL was on its knees and T20 was a hit and giggle played over a week or two. With more entertaining sporting options out there these days, the A-League will always be down towards the bottom preference of sporting events to go to.

Not to mention the A-League season goes far too long. Playing each team 3 times is ridiculous, as the season stretches into April/May. Once the footy seasons start, the A-League is simply irrelevant. Adelaide United had to resort to giving away tickets to get crowds to their home games last season once the AFL season kicked off. It needs to revert to a home and away series with a GF in early February (maybe a week or so after the BBL GF).

Its shorter than almost every other major football league in the world though. The issue is competition.

We dont have the population to spread around 4 different sports in each season. The round ball rightly moved from winter to summer in the early 90s to align with the northern leagues but also to get away from the football codes.

One wonders what Kayo will do to attendances of these sports once they iron out all the glitches.

What's a greater achievement - winning a Test Match with our current team or scoring a goal in open play in a World Cup?

The latter, Australia did win the Perth test after all.
