Every club goes out a signs players from a smaller statured clubs that's just the nature of football. Supporting a club that are no longer renown as "big club" when the top teams come in for our players can frustrate the hell out of me, I don't want to see clubs take our prized assets but I can understand it and get why it happens, it's football.

The thing that has frustrated me so much on the whole Stones saga has now been going for six weeks, on the 18th of July Jose said “If one day Roberto Martinez or the chairman says: ‘He’s not for sale; we don’t accept any bid’, game over."

The club said he's not for sale, we've had Chelsea lodge a further two more bids for him since, relentless speculation, the media basically been used as tactics and zero respect shown.
I think Stones and his agent having been pushing for this deal(as much as us) and have given us an insentive to keep bidding in the hope of getting a deal done. Rumours of Chelsea terminating their interest seemed to have pushed Stones into taking the matter into his own hands and handing in the request.

But it's not a done deal and there's every chance you'll tel him sorry and hang onto him.

If he's been pushing a transfer why has he waited 6 weeks to hand in a transfer request?

I don't hear anything out of Stones himself to suggest that he is trying to push a deal through. Apparently had agent issues which needed sorting out last year, not sure if that happened which could also affect the deal.

My stance is if Everton do not want to sell him thus window Chelsea should move on rather than creating an unnecessary saga.

He's only young and they could probably come back in 12 months time. Cahill, Terry & Zouma should be enough CB wise for any EPL team.

Probs because he wanted a make without losing his loyalty bonus. Cause of a lot of aggravation in football, because players refuse to ask for a transfer, but make it as difficult as possible for their clubs not to sell them.

every manager at a top club is too scared to introduce youth. it goes wrong and you lose your job.

it's disappointing that we likely won't see much/anything out of kelechi, rony and denayer this season, but that's the way it goes.
Arsene isn't, but that's because he can blame his medical department for not keeping his first team fit.

Fair enough, I don't see it that way.

You'd have every right to be annoyed if Real is in for Hazard, you guys tell them you do not want to sell and next thing you know there's rumours everywhere about him wanting out, not getting on with hihis manager etc etc.

Different story if Real want him and you guys are happy to sell but just can't agree on a price.
For sure. I'd be annoyed but I wouldn't go around complaining and moaning about how Real are ruining football. Never said the Everton fans shouldn't be disappointed.

I think the thing here is that you're taking Mourinho's word as gold. It isn't.

2 weeks ago Roma decided they didnt want to play the full amount of the fee for De Silva

Then Roma backed tracked out of the deal at the last minute apparently

valencia could sign aymen abdennour from their cl opponents monaco to replace otamendi. his future apparently depended on monaco qualifying and now that he hasn't, could well go to valencia.

You dont think Stones is pushing for this?

Would have thought that's pretty obvious.
Wouldn't think that at all. Perhaps his agent has spoken to you guys behind the scenes and he has a taste of the money you're offering. I wouldn't be surprised if he signs a new deal with Everton stipulating firm buyout clauses.

Would tell Stones to eat a bag of you know whats and stay with us until seasons end. Then we can discuss a 50 million deal with one of the rich flog clubs.

Took me years to get into the EPL because I always hated how the rich clubs dominated everything. I'm suddenly remembering why...
