If he wasn't going to be cheaper because of his contract then I'd be concerned but for what he'll cost whoever buys him is worth the risk IMO.
well it's worth the risk if you can cover it with a player who's been playing well (fellaini or carrick).

i would consider back injuries worse than knees, and we saw how bad knees can make you. falcao and vidal have had down years after knee problems.

How many of cylne, hummels, depay, iikay you reckon will be at united next year?

I would guess at least two. So it's not really fantasy.

If you look at the players they bought In the last few windows, nothing would surprise me really in the future
You forgot to include Lloris as the keeper.....

He isn't a United supporter however not that fantastical to suggest Clyne, Hummels, Depay and Gundogan will be at United next season. I'd say at least three will be.
Based on what?

I could do the same with Arsenal

Giroud

Sanchez Ozil Depay

Gundogan Cazorla

Monreal Hummels Kos Bellerin

-------Lloris

I reckon he's as good
I like Blind but he's not at that level. They are similar in many ways, they both read the game at an elite level and are very composed on the ball but Carrick's passing range and influence are a class above.

When Carrick retires I don't think Blind will replace him, I think we'll bring someone else in tbh.

Fair enough, I remember how much of a prick he was to deal with over Modric. Would have got twice what he got off Real from us.
You guys offered 40m and he ended up getting 32m off Real after getting another season out of him and finishing 4th. Levy did well out of Modric.

Not really, lost money on the transfer and 4th placing didn't make any difference as we won the Champions League.

Not at all. However we have been strongly linked to the players I listed. Its not being pulled out of a hat.

He got another season out of Modric though. I doubt you guys would have offered 40m again with one less year left on his contract.
Still got 4th place regardless of what you guys did and that's worth quite a bit.

he does make a good point though. all it takes is one 'source' and the world's media will all report the same thing

i do think depay is for all intensive purposes a united player. whether he can take that form from holland is the big question. not many can. i believe cocu pretty much said he'll end up a united player. whether it is legit or all just pumping up for auction's we'll see.

Everyone should be uncertain about it . But apparently its nailed on to happen according to some.
that's just his opinion. He was too lazy to even talk about his 'sources'. Almost anyone on this forum could do Marcotti's job.

It's a certainty according to the german and dutch press. I won't believe anything until Utd, BVB or PSV announce it though.
