So they've signed some players, what does that prove?

Gerrard, Suarez, Vieira and Ribery are just a few players who have spoken in the past about turning down Real Madrid.
Some...

I don't think Suarez proves the point all that well

Bayern are a pretty big draw card too

The only time Real dont get their way is when they try to buy players from clubs who are pretty much just as rich as they are. So they wont always get their way when trying to buy a player from Chelsea, United, Barca and Bayern.

That's about it. Any other club in world football will lose a player to them. That's just the way it is.

Football is money. If you have it, you can win, you can bring the best players. If you dont. You're making up the numbers.

It was Ronaldo's childhood dream to play for Madrid, we all knew he'd leave eventually but even then Fergie convinced him to stay with United for longer than Real Madrid would have liked.
Yes, but most Spanish and Portuguese speakers want to pay for barca or madrid

Why would Vardy move to WBA? He would be in the same position unless they can pay him a lot more.
It was mostly if we went down. Would make some sense if we were relegated but I doubt he'd move.

Has been a catalyst in our turnaround.

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is being reportedly being targeted for a shock transfer by Real Madrid.

The Nigerian international has been at Stamford Bridge since 2006, but has been linked with a summer move away after making just 12 Premier League appearances this season.

And according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Spanish giants Real Madrid are interested in bringing the 28-year-old – who has two years left on his contract – to the Bernabéu.

Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti worked with Mikel during his two-year reign at Chelsea, and is said to be keen on setting up a reunion this summer.

I could see the Real Madrid fans getting behind Mikel as their shiny new toy (; 60 mill?

Mikel is decent at times- but not a Real Madrid sort of player imo.

Although a bit more muscle in midfield could be handy at times.

I think Liverpool are a real chance at Depay, more so if United think they have a chance at Bale, I think De Gea will be at RM next season and if that is the saga you can bet United will look at Bale coming the other way whilst adding cash. Long shot but all the signs are there that a saga is brewing.

I think Depay happens very early in the market so this posturing can give Liverpool the time needed to get on with a deal.

PSG are looking to sign Dybala which adds to the news coming out that Cavani is looking to leave PSG. United, Juventus and Atletico being linked.

Spurs fans, what do you think of this:

Manchester United appear to have received a huge transfer boost after reports emerged that Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris has a release clause in his contract allowing him to join any Champions League club for just £14million should Spurs not qualify themselves.
However, following an Arsenal Supporters Trust meeting on Monday night, it was claimed that French journalist Julien Laurens revealed Lloris’ clause to attendees at the event.
Been reported overnight that the clause exists. Bullshit or could it have some truth to it?
