Suarez staying may or may not be good news for liverpool. If you were to get 40mill+ Sanchez or 80m or a decent offer you could definitely have gotten one established star and a youngster without the burden of Suarez missing a quarter of a season and having this stupid crap happen.
 
You cant replace $80 million dollar players, Liverpool will be weaker if they sell Suarez almost regardless of who they get in. I'd imagine they would know this and will only sell if they have to.

Spurs are constantly linked to Remy for 8 million, what do people think about this? Im not sure if he is a better alternative to Soldado or at the expense of Kanes development.

This. You cant replace Suarez. Sure we will get a ton of money or say a quality player like Sanchez and 40 million. But Sanchez realistically is half the player Suarez is. If we sell Suarez we will become weaker. Much weaker. You can throw out his 31 goals and 12 assists but it's more than that, he is involved in almost everything we do. If he isnt the assist he is the pass before the assist, or Sturridge scores because Suarez has dragged two players with him etc etc.

He is at the hub of everything.

I think we have a good squad. We are also still adding to it and I also think Rodgers is a bit of a genius but if we sell Suarez. Finishing top 4 will be a very tough ask. The title, non existant.

That is the honest truth of it.

Was linked with Arsenal a few years back. Was in and around the French team for a while.

Good player to land on a free at 28.
 
Wouldn't surprise me at all if Arsenal land Sanchez, I actually think the deal will happen.

And it doesn't automatically mean Suarez stays, he can still very much leave.

He lead the Ligue 1 in assists this year and was voted the #1 player in Ligue 1 by the French press.

The only difference between him and Ozil is timing. Ozil had his world cup breakthrough before his big ticket move because of when the world cup coincided in his career.

Rodriguez moved first and is now on the big stage.

Rodriguez would cost 50m+ easily.


If anyone should be pissed off, it's United fans. They went in for him before he moved to Monaco, but the 30m bid was rejected...........back then, his price would of close to doubled.

If you're seriously going to try and argue that Rodriguez is more established than Ozil was this time last season than you're very wrong. You're comparing the Portugese league (literally lightyears away from Spanish leagues) and French leagues (still a way of). Hazard played in Ligue 1 and the question was still around if he was going to be able to make the stepup easily to premier league.

I said he'd cost 50m+ easily. You're just trying to debate whether Rodriguez is established. I made the point that Ozil was MORE established and that's why Arsene was willing to make the big money purchase.

He is saying Ozil broke through before moving to Madrid.

Nothing to do with Arsenal.

Barca would be better off trying to get a bidding war for Sanchez, instead of using him as a part of the Suarez deal, i hope were after him our wingers are crap.
