Great signing. A player we do need, much better than young and Valencia. We are suffering now from the lack of signings from 2006-2010, SAF just kept the same side really year after year and got RVP in for his last season as manager to win us the title.

Our midfield has been crap for years, so we need to fix that next and I think we will once the Di Maria deal is complete.

Release clause for no cl next year is 20 million pounds. That would be good if ADM did that. **** Man Utd even further.
There is zero chance we put in a release clause that is anything lower than 50m, actually there isn't really a chance we put one in full stop.

Bayern signed Benatia yet? Thought it was a done deal?

ADM won't sign if no release clause. Man U are desperate so they'll give him whatever he wants.

Benatia is coming but Bayern has only offered 26 mill. Roma want 30. They will probably settle for 28. Already agreed a contract. Only a matter of time.

Yeah nah.

Won't be a release clause that doesn't benefit us.

Di Maria is not going to have a release clause.

Real Madrid & Di Maria really should be bleeding United dry.

It would be unwise for Real to keep a player of that value if he's not guaranteed to start week in week out but from a negotiating perspective I don't think that will really bother them all that much, bottom line he has 4 years remaining on his contract so they don't have to sell him and obviously they don't care about money. United on the other hand have absolutely no leverage in this situation, there will be no haggling down of his transfer fee or his wages. They have no Champions League, are coming off a very poor season, they are desperate for a quality player to come in and they have more money than they know what to do with.

That's a perfect storm for the selling club and any player agent worth their salt if you ask me. Di Maria could ask to be piggy backed by Woodward onto the Old Trafford pitch every game if he wanted, and United would probably agree to it if it meant getting his signature.

We've got a good relationship with Madrid.

They're just helping a friend out, we're no threat, £63.9m is spot on.

Apparently he's in England now?

Very concerning that the dirties signed him, hopefully he turns out as successful as his fellow countryman Veron
He's a great signing for the club, certainly what we need, but with our midfield we won't see the best of our attack, so I hope LVG realises this.

Unlike you, I hope he becomes as good as Ronaldo was for us :p finally, a proper number 7 :D
