Schwarzer's keen to stick around for another season.

Just who is he back up for though, that is the question.
I heard from some good sources in Sydney (ie. Friends of Mark's) that we were going to sign him if we couldn't keep Kasper. He was allegedly keen but it looks like the deal became irrelevant after Kasper signed his new contract

We've officially signed Ben Hamer from Charlton. Will be good back up, will probably play in the cups. Very handy keeper.

More likely to end up in the Bundesliga apparently, where ever he goes he'll play. Exciting young talent.
True, we just have other CBs we'd play in front of him. Why would we bother developing a raw CB for a year just for him to go back to Chelsea when we have better immediate prospects?

I wouldn't say he's raw, I'd more than happy to keep him for next season as back up for Terrry and Cahill.

Doesn't need much more developing, needs to play games at a high as level as posible and if he is to go out on loan I'd prefer it to be a mid to high table team in the Bundesliga or Prem anyway. No offence to Hull though.

Romes bit dirty. The ancient ruins are nice and all though.

The main train station is a bit trashy. One of my friends who went recently for her honeymoon said she saw a woman doing a #2 on the street.

I loved Rome, you walk out the main train station and the Colosseum is right in your face, have to love that. The trains themselves aren't great though, they made me feel like vomiting. On the way in I thought it was due to the hangover, on the way back it could only be the train.

The only cities in Europe (obviously haven't been to all of them) I didn't rate were Venice and Amsterdam.

Reports saying Mourinho wants Ba to stay on next season and that his situation will change which says to me he'll be getting more gametime. Quotes from Ba confirms this. Personally i'm happy with this and that it's a reward for the positive attitude he has shown during the season.

Now comes the bad news. Also says that it might mean Lukaku/Torres will be sold unfortunately. I don't think Torres is able to be moved at this point due to his extremely highwages which only means it's Lukaku the unfortunate one.

That means Strikeforce of Costa/Manduzic, Torres and Ba with Ba and Torres competing for 2nd choice imo.

Nah fair enough. Honestly if he came to us it would be a terrible move for both parties. I think it's just paper talk.
