Mandzukic is quite similar to Giroud though, doubt Wenger would buy a player that we already have, even if he is better.

Similar could've been said with Ozil last season, he wasn't necessarily the purchase we needed to splash out on when we already had existing options. Wenger's transfer market decisions range from confusing to ridiculous. ie Kallstrom.
Mandzukic is an upgrade on Giroud and we should acquire him if available and loan out Sanogo.

I'm not saying we shouldn't, just that I doubt Wenger would. I would love to get Sanchez and Mandzukic so we could have some proper depth in our strikeforce, that's not AW's style though.

Reminds me of the Willian saga last summer. He followed Lucas & Coutinho on twitter, and for 24 hours I was convinced he was coming to Liverpool.. Until he followed Paulinho & Sandro, and then Mata, Hazard, and the official Chelsea account.. Bastard.
Nothing is ever done with Arsenal until it's done Jatz. Sanchez is Higuain part 2 for all we know.

Soon journalists won't be looking for quotes from players it'll just be "Debuchy gave a winky face followed by the thumbs up when someone instagramed a photoshop of the player in an Arsenal shirt" - deal done.
Seriously though Sanchez would be bloody huge for the gunners along with Debuchy.
I am a fan of Giroud and feel he offers a lot and is often unfairly criticised, but having said that he needs a decent support striker so he's not having to play 50 matches in a season. A clinical finisher would be great to complement the power in our midfield.

Depending on which paper you want to believe Citys either had a £32m bid accepted for Mangala and are trying to convince him to come or agreed personal terms with Benatia and are trying to sort out a deal with Roma(apparently around £30m).
