Superb! Looking forward to watching him do well against everyone but Leicester ;)

Debuchy can now leave - I have a new player name to get printed on our eventual new home kit (whenever it gets revealed!) :p

6 year deal as well, so if he turns it on, Ashley can sell him for a nice sum in 18-24 months time :D:drunk:

You tell me, you are the one making up comments.

I maintained from the start that Coutinho would be a good signing if (which was a big if at the time) he could get the right attitude.

I never mentioned Zaha and Ince in regards to him at all. If anything I would have said Zaha was a better prospect then Ince which is still open for debate.

Here's what a quick search brings up.

I said he was average at Inter but Liverpool can bring out the best in him. I mean sure select quoting can push any argument.

At the same stage last year Ince was a better player and Coutinho really needed to put some meat on to adapt to the PL which he did and will continue to do.
Zaha again was better adapted to the PL. It's amazing how some players grow.

Again as I said with the right coaching he could become a very good player. Which seems to be happening.

Not one person will say that this time last season Coutinho was playing better than Zaha and Ince. 12 months is a long time in football and in that time only one of the three have produced.

So it's basically exactly a month until the first match, not exactly alot of rest for the world cup guys.
It might actually be a good time to play all the big teams in the first 5 or 6 weeks. Our draw might be a blessing in disguise in the end.

I dont know how much of the pre-season they'll do.

I'd be very surprised if Ozil, Mert or Poldi are part of any of the Arsenal tours.

Bit of talk in the last 24 hours that we're preparing a bid for Marco Reus, nothing concrete yet but it wouldn't surprise me if there was something in these rumours. From what I've heard he has a release clause of approx £30m but that only becomes active in January 2015 (as confirmed by Dortmund executive Hans-Joachim Watzke earlier in the season), so we're trying to tempt Dortmund with an offer of £40m+ to sell him now.

If we are indeed interested, then money obviously won't be an issue. We can comfortably double his £70k per week salary and with the £75m we pocketed from the sale of Luis Suarez the transfer fee won't be an obstacle either. We've also seen in the past that Dortmund are like Atletico in that for the right price any of their players are for sale. The big question is whether or not Reus himself would be interested in leaving Germany? Who knows, I'd love to see us test both his and Dortmund's resolve though. There are 5 or 6 players of a similar mould that I would personally love to see us target to replace Suarez and he is definitely top of that list of versatile, top class forwards (though I haven't really considered him to be a realistic target!). He ticks all the boxes for us and is probably one of the most logical choices to fill that gap, so it wouldn't be a total shock if we did make a formal approach for him.

Numerous tweets doing the rounds that PSG have accepted Chelsea's bid (in the region of 7-8m) for Adrien Rabiot and the deal is very close to completion.
