Im dropping you both down the order. You will come in at 11 and Iceman is coming in at 10. That way, at least everyone else gets a bat :D
 
GOALden Hawk lashes out at selectors

Long serving wicketkeeper to Darkness Eternal has launched a scathing attack on the team's selectors after he was once again left out of the one day squad for the upcoming match against the West Coast Warriors.

Despite a slashing 48* in the recent test, Hawk has once again been overlooked in favour of newcomer Porthos.

Hawk labelled the selectors "weak and afraid to make the hard decisions"

"Fair dinkum mate, it's a joke. Porthos deserves his spot no doubt as a batter, but there is no doubt I should be keeping, and my batting has been excellent as well. If the captain had any backbone he would have dropped himself for crawling along at a snail's pace in his innings this season."

"Clearly Porthos should be used as a batsman only at 3 and myself down the order and keeping, with Hitman carrying the drinks. How many more losses is it going to take?"

Hitman refused to comment on the issue, fuelling speculation he is feeling the pressure after a slow start to the season.
 
The Hitman's mature handling of GoaldenHawkgate has to be congratulated.

Not wishing to air the BFFCA dirty laundry in the media, he has stood by Goalden Hawk in public, while quietly banning the delinquent at the first opportunity.

Looking to put the whole episode behind us I am willing to consider a one game ban as sufficent, but obviously the ultimate decision is yours Hitters.
 
`Professional' Porthos keeps it cool

Controversial replacement keeper Porthos claims he isn't feeling the heat as the scrutiny on his position in the DE one day side continues.

"Look, Darkness Eternal is a professional organization, and I'm a professional player.", said the young gun wicketkeeper to the Sun yesterday.

"Sometimes people can forget that you're here for the team, and get a bit caught up in their egos. When that happens, you've just got to keep your cool and get on with the game and wait for them to get the hint."

"Now, I know I'm the mutt's nutts when it comes to keeping, and as good as GOALden Hawk may be when he's in form, it looks like its best for the team at the moment if I do the job. I'm happy to do this."

"GOALden Hawk has a lot of fans out there that aren't happy with the selectors' decision and think that maybe I shouldn't be there. They're entitled to think what they want, but I'm aiming to prove them wrong this weekend against the Warriors, and I'm confident of doing that."

It was looking hairy around the 43rd, but the fact that we had 7 wickets left meant a bit of slogging was in order. Pretty happy with a second 50 in two games and not out.
 
Well done fellas. I think I justified keeping Porthos in the side and at number 3 - two half centuries in a row, and steered the side with Hilly to victory. Great bowling by Meg and myself, and we were always in the box seat.
