As there is already a thread for the Everton vs Manchester City game (or snoozefest as it turned out), I'll have to reluctantly keep it to the other game(s). :)

Southampton 3 Charlton 2

To the complete surprise of almost everyone it was a highly entertaining game between the two clubs. And it was on TV!

It was our first win at St Mary's for 14 months without Beattie scoring. Even more surprising was that Brett Ormerod scored twice (and missed a one on one with the keeper in the last minute). Let's be honest, the guy doesn't really have much ability. He just puts in 110% every week. He thoroughly deserved his reward tonight. Another player to do well was David Prutton. He's a youngster crying out for an opportunity in central midfield and showed why he has such big wraps on him.

And Scott Parker is another player to live up to the lofty standards set by himself in Championship Manager. Scored two awesome goals and was the most dominant player in the game. Put on quite a nice show for Sven.

Is it just a coincidence that every time the Saints play on a Sunday, the game is immediately followed by the New Orleans Saints in the NFL? Stupid sport anyway.

Wasn't a snoozefest at all. No goals but some good opportunities created, pretty entertaining for a 0-0 draw. In the other game Parkers goals were exceptional.

I thought it was a pretty boring match. Both teams had chances but you could just sense that no one was going to score. If the whole game could have been anything like the last 10 minutes then I'd have agreed with you.

You guys were the far better team, it will only take one goal to change things around.

Hey Sainter, we got 2 more live games this month. Arsenal and the skates.
Any idea if the Liverpool game on Saturday night is on?

Ouch 2 humilliating defeats on TV in a row.......nasty!;)
What's humiliating is that there are only 8 positions in the league seperating our two clubs. ;)
