Lynch was too good, rowe needed more help and to pay him more respect early on. It was too late once his confidence was up. Ive been sticking up for daisy all year so far because of the little things he does and leadership but i honestly think he's in trouble.

Gets the ball but kicks it straight to the opposition, its killing us in our forwsrd half as he undoes allot of good work by the team.

With all these kids coming in, they won't play as many minutes as the mature boys so it's a fine balance. But he's giving the MC every reason to drop him.

On a positive note to end, I'm liking Pickett, sps, Fisher and Wright applying pressure in our forward half. You can see the team balance of smalls and talls taking shape. Daisy is part of that but I'm hoping a sumner/palmer can come in and do what daisy is doing + kick the ball to at least someone within the same postcode as a Carlton player.

Spot on-my summary too
We all saw Lynch coming.
Rowe was spent pretty much after one quarter.plus then =>double team -what double team ? and too slow anyway.
Should have put Weitering on him all day or after one quarter.
So this shows we are missing at least a few elite key position players ...Re our list depth.
Suns have an inspired list and we battled them hard.
 
Don't know why everyone is up in arms about our performance. Gold Coast have more talent than us and are many years ahead of us in terms of development. I think the win last week in terrible conditions gave everyone a taste but lets be honest I doubt we beat Essendon under the roof at Etihad. The pleasing thing about last week was that we had to grind and play the percentages and with such a young group it was a great win. This week we were in it till half time (should've been up by a few) and we faded which is to be expected, but we fought back to win the last quarter. Plenty to be excited about after the game and for the rest of the year. Wins and losses mean nothing this year.

As far as the Blues are concerned we are still well behind most clubs but I believe we are heading in the right direction. Just as long as we don't win the spoon and our young players keep showing good signs.

No we shouldn't have. All we needed to do is have Lynch's direct opponent go Harris Andrews on him. Harris Andrews has shown every defender in the AFL how to play Lynch, and we did nothing of the sort.

A 19 year old key position kid in his 2nd year!

The kid is an absolute superstar in the making and is going to have his ups and downs. Any club would love to have this incredible talent that we have.

Stop being pissweak keyboard warriors and back the kid. He is going to be one of the greats.

Great post! I think we are a big chance of getting the wooden spoon this year but that's ok if it's through playing the youth. We are pumping games into our youth more than I thought, short term pain for long term gain. I don't really want to see us go anymore hardcore than we are though.

Lets not categorize rowe as useless (yet again) . He is just not suited to Tom Lynch getting silver service. I doubt that JW would have been able to stop him either. Our strategy was to stop their run- which we did in the first half. Its just that we didnt take advantage of our scoring opportunities (whats new) and Tom was kicking them from everywhere. I agree that rowe is not mobile enough to take on tom lynch in that mood- maybe Rance might be able to
