Still would make him easily the best paid player in the game with Danger accepting unders and Dusty accepting a little less to stay at the Tigers
And he deserves to be key forwards that can perform weekly deserve to be the highest paid.
Damien Barretts latest sliding doors article has a crack at the afl for handing out ambassador money to hunt and falou but surely this is money better spent to highlight the game in the Northern states. Victorian clubs have the benefit of media appearances and club functions to earn a bit of extra dough. Northern footballers deserve a competitive chance to earn big bucks.

I've gone fishing a few times with Rory and have another mate who is really good friends with him and his missus, the potential move would not be being driven by Rory he would be Absolutly gutted if the club is in fact shopping him around. He has a solid setup up here and wouldn't be keen on moving or a trade

I would've thought that would be the case. Puts to bed Barrett's rumour that he wants to leave

Rocket probably leaving probably doesn't hurt matters either

Hearing a bit from Victorian media that clubs and fans are outraged over comments from gil mclachlan that Tom Lynch would be offered an ambassador contract if he resigned with Gold Coast.
Having star players stay at their original club is something I reckon the League should encourage. Deals like the proposed ambassadorship for Lynch would help. I'd like to see the AFL come up with a few more incentives as well, so stars are encouraged not to move. Maybe a superannuation incentive, weighted towards number of games played at one club.

Thompson is a local junior and therefore tradeing him to my mind is not acceptable
The only negative thing we should ever do to a local junior is delist them if they aren't cutting it as afl players

The club is making a grave error if they go down this path and shop Rory Thompson around.

This rumour actually angers me quite a lot.

We're all fed up with Rory's 2 weeks becomes 10 injuries for sure but I do not want him traded
He is a Suns man and I think wants to be a one club player
These are the sorts of rumours/decisions that give the appearance of lack of leadership IMO

I love watching the big red fire engine. I wish they could get his body right, so he could get back to playing his best footy for the Suns.

Thompson also happens to be the last remaining player from the original 2009 TAC Cup squad. He's literally been at the club since the start and will become a 10-year player if he sticks around next year. Having said that, Evans seems determined to make changes this off season and perhaps they view Thompson as a player that has currency on the open market or maybe they want to clear cap space? I'm not sure but I think he probably stays unless a club can put together an offer the Suns can't turn down.

Is anyone else a bit anxious about the fact that 2 guys in Ashcroft and Clayton whose jobs are by no means secure might be leaving prawn heads in the skirting boards regarding delistings and trades?
I wouldn't trust them
Don't let them make any decisions
Get a football committee headed by Blight or Solly (let him know he's safe)

They can't do any worse than they have the last seven years.

I'd get Jessica/Emily/Isabel from the membership department to do the delistings and trades and Ashcroft and Clayton can do a stocktake of stationary and other odd jobs till December 1st.

Robbo to ask him in the laziest way possible "do you want to stay at the Suns"
And good on Robbo for asking that if Lynch has a problem with it then Re-sign before next season he should no the Suns will pay him whatever he wants and he deserves that.
But if he doesn't re-sign then be prepared to cop it every day of the week
