For me he was one of, if not the most important re-signing for us structure wise this season. Will straighten us up and play an important role as our maturing key position player.

You can't know how someone is gonna enjoy a new club until they are there. He obviously loves the club, the city and the players. That's more than enough to stay IMO.

Sounded like the reporter (think it was sam landsberger) had no news to break so just made up a story because he said Ben kings manager robbie d'orazio (also scrimshaw manager) had a habit of re-signing his players that go to the Gold Coast for a further 2 years

wouldn't it be funny if they carry on like Norf did about Dave for how many years with brothers reuniting... Pressure is on them and Max now. Whose to Say Ben won't tell him, "hey guess what bro, it's pretty bloody good up on the Goldy!"

Wouldn't be any point in mentioning it if there was no truth to it. But that was the plan, for the extensions for these young boys to start within the first few months.

Wouldn’t be any point picking a player up if you weren’t planning on re-signing him long term

We've seen that a contract means absolutely nothing so can't see any downside as a young player to signing an extension and getting more guaranteed money. Especially when tall guys can be injury prone.

Nevertheless very positive news.
