SUNS defender Jack Bowes is expected to be sidelined for the next three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the loss to Brisbane on the weekend.

Hombsch will be a good inclusion for the VFL team to have a senior key defender.

Day with a 4 week countdown is nice, should get a few more games with him and King as our key forwards before the season finishes.

Hombsch went from 2-3 weeks down to available in one week. Maybe we're being conservative with some of our other guys too?

We love David swallow but he’s been in 75% of centre bounces of late. Not sure that’s great for us.

Jon Haines said on radio that Sam Day and Matt Rowell are available for selection after the bye provided they get through training. Didn't mention at what level, but they'll be playing games of some sort. Should get those two + Bowes back after the bye which will give us some depth.

I'd hope Elijah isn't far off either. Still no mention of him.

Scans have revealed Hugh Greenwood has escaped major injury, although the SUNS midfielder will still miss the remainder of the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
