Look at the missed tackles by Duigan and Garlett on Lynch and May that didn't stop them getting it forward for a goal. Or Murphy's missed tackle on Ablett...



Bashing Gibbs is almost as bad as blaming Judd whilst pumping up Murphy for leadership. It was Judd who stepped up again and hit the scoreboard when we needed a boost. Marc shouldn't have been in the best players. I guess the writers just look at Murphy's possessions count and his name before giving their best players.

What did we do for a warm-up, ride the Lethal Weapon at Movie World? Absolute joke of a performance considering what was on the line and a second rate side with 14 players out. By the time we got out of our pyjamas the game was gone. No argument now, Ratten cannot take us to the next level.

What we are seeing from Gibbs now, is what you are always going to see. There is still plenty of time for Gibbs to take his game to a new level, but he will always come across as insipid/laconic no matter who is coaching. That is Bryce Gibbs. MM was never able to get Leon Davis to play well when it was needed most. Nor could he take Medhurst to the next level.

Muppet what is that shit.My comments are as valid as yours only less sanctimonious. Bell has played 5 games is tougher and harder and does not flinch in his attack on the ball.Gibbs however has been in the system for a while and has gone backwards,PS are you Bryces mum.

Most of the players looked buggered early, does anyone know whether training was loaded during the week in preperation for possible finals, I have never seen them look so lethergic.

As most should know being a coach is more than advising players, its about the players respecting you and buying into your plan and thoughts, unfortunately IMO the players have not or are over Ratts decision making.

Anyway I am going to barrack like hell for Melbourne next week.

Talking about how well we have been travelling the past month, and how we will cause damage IF we get to finals, is just giving credit to the players and probably trying to give a finger to the media who had tried to have him ousted. Backfired last night but it was entirely the players fault.

We certainly need insurance and a tall swingman regardless of limitations, is ideal insurance. We had 5 talls last night, Kreuzer, Casboult forward and 2nd ruck, Waite, White and McInnes. 5 tall posts, 5 positions. This does not cover injuries or resting talls. The fact that White and McInnes are not overly tall and are best suited to being third defenders only compounds this. We have been caught by this before but we seemed enamoured by how good we look when we are outrunning the opposition that we take the odds to it far too often.

As most should know being a coach is more than advising players, its about the players respecting you and buying into your plan and thoughts, unfortunately IMO the players have not or are over Ratts decision making.

Nah, they simply didn't play the same way they were playing the previous few weeks. Obviously they bought into it then, but just went missing last night.

The coaching staff have not helped Gibbs development at all, he should have been given the opportunity to play in the midfield two years ago, the roles as a run-with tagger or a free half back flanker may have been great in his early years of development, but he has been in the system a significant period and has failed to take his game to the next level, should have been given 8 weeks in a row in the midfield rather than short stints.

Gibbs & Thomas are 2 totally different types of footballers. Thomas was always fearless, but he was a lair in the early stages of his career.

Gibbs reminds me of many current Australian sportspeople. Happy to make a comfortable living out of their chosen sport & not driven to be the best. A stark contrast to Murphy, who it is clear has striven to be as good as, if not better than, Judd.

Gibbs is Carlton's equivalent of Mark Waugh.

First time in my life Im ashamed to be a Carlton supporter tonight..after the dark years and all tonight is the lowest point for me...in the dark years we were actually pathetic...now we beat up on a team by 100 points one week and lose to GCthe next...beat collingwood by 10 goals one week...get pumped the next, take it to the cats one week...get flogged by port the next....our players should individually hang there ****en heads in shame...Judd down to casboult 1-22 te lot if them were a ****en disgrace...

Unfortunately for ratten he couldn't get the heads of these nancy pretty boys in shape week in and out and the gutless wonders picked and chose when they wanted to play for him...recruit girls like gibbs, yarran, Garlett etc...they look a million bucks when we're flying and rubbish when we're not!

I feel for ratts I really do Hes had a list full of talent but the majority have the heart the size of a pea...also guys like white, Ellars, casboult, will never be players sorry, they do one thing Great but 10 wrong ..

Gutted, heartbroken, will be staying home next week, they don't deserve our support after that....each one of those 22 blokes in a Carlton jumper tonight should be embarrassed beyond embarrassed!!!! Go and get screwed!

Rounds 7-12 we played 6 games in 31 days, and lost 5 of them, with 2 interstate games, totally took all the momentum out of our season.

That lack of recovery time eventually took its toll, and I am certain played a part in our demise.

When was the last time we won four in a row?
