Ranger would be my favourite Kiwi player. Love the way he goes about it. I did not see the Tahs' game. What went wrong? Hurricanes are a solid unit, but to get beaten comfortably at home is not on.

I was at the Rebels' game. Had a decent crack. Really missed having quality at 10. Hilgendorf was solid, but he is not Beale/JOC.

Tahs just seemed rudderless and incapable of holding onto the ball. That was the main thing, they were just unable to hold on to the ball for a sustained period of time and made mistake after mistake. Hurricanes didn't have anywhere near as much trouble. It was a rough game to watch with so many errors.

Michael Foley cannot be feeling comfortable in his job. With a squad like he has on paper, he must have thought that his side would be challenging for finals but they are mired at the bottom of the table.

The Force have signed Sam Norton-Knight. I know a lot of people don't rate him, but I think it's a pretty good signing. He's still only 28. When he played well he used to remind me of Larkham. Playing in a team like the Waratahs didn't suit him...he'll be better in the more low key environment at the Force.

I rated him at the Tahs, was played out of position all the time, hope he is a good signing for the Force.

Don't mind Norton-Knight but I reckon he might struggle after 3 years in Japan. Playing 3 years in a semi-professional environnent isn't the greatest idea if you're planning to return to professional rugby. Apparently has been playing as a fullback in Japan so the Force have yet to really secure a quality flyhalf.

I've heard some very interesting news recently, yesterday to be precise, and barring a reversal of Genia-like proportions, the Western Force are going to be in a lot of pain in years to come. The Force just can't seem to attract any decent players, or they aren't offering good money, Tapaui has stayed on with the Reds for peanuts. Just can't work out why the Force wouldn't offer him a contract he couldn't refuse considering the lack of talent at inside centre.

Playing in Japan may have freshened Norton-Knight up. Short seasons, less physical but very fast and expansive rugby. With a good pre-season in him I think he'll be good for the Force.

I'm guessing your news is on Pocock then? Seems pretty likely that he'll end up at the Brumbies now. The ARU should probably allow the Force to recruit a couple more foreign players.

I heard that a certain high-profile Waratah has threatened to leave, and done so quite publicly, if a certain coach isn't brought in. Pocock has also made it quite clear to the Force about the coach that he prefers for next season. Connect the dots.

Oh Wales were out of luck again, losing by one point. They are going to make a habit out of it.

Heard of the All Blacks mighty smashing of Ireland. Holy cr**
Looking forward to this afternoons match Springboks vs England. Another win please Go Bokke! :D

Huge S15 game on right now, Chiefs hosting the Crusaders, extremely important game for both teams with big bearing on the final 6.

Game has started really well, cracking pace, plenty of intensity, Crusaders are giving it to the chiefs 12 minutes in, keeping possession, good ball circulation, just scored first try of the match, and lead 10-3.

Waratahs have finally come to their senses and released Sarel Pretorius. One of the biggest screw ups I've seen. Apparently the Waratahs didn't know that Sarel couldn't speak fluent english until they actually met him, which was after they signed him! You can't help but laugh at that. Funny, funny stuff. Sarel was a bad signing from the start and anyone with half a brain could see it. It was really a case of the Waratahs not doing their homework because it isn't as if no one knew about his deficiencies in attack and defence. Sarel was one of the most polarising figures in Sa rugby because of his horrible defence and lousy passing and tactical game.

Reckon the Waratahs have made another huge error in signing Matt Lucas. He's going to be too small and isn't anything special in attack. I seriously don't know what's going on down there. With Nic White cementing the scrum half position at the Brumbies, the Tahs should have gone hard for Ian Prior who is twice the player.

Lucas is EXACTLY what we need as a bench halfback, Hart will be the starting 9, you need a nippy halfback on the bench, enter Lucas.

You obviously haven't seen Matt Lucas play. His sniping certainly isn't a strength, he does snipe a lot mainly due to his often horrendous decision making. Has looked fairly average at club level and I can say with certainty that his passing isn't currently good enough for Super rugby. He's been carried through representative teams due to name recognition IMO. Just screams of a "sign first, assess later" type of move, similar to the Pretorius debacle. There are probably more deserving and better scrumhalves in the Shute Shield. Not that i'm trying to bag Matt Lucas, but it's just a really odd and bizarre decision.

I have seen Lucas actually quite a bit to be honest. His passing is fine, sure it isn't Genia's league but no-one is, he is no worse at the scrum base compared to Nic White for instance, his running game suits a 20 minute cameo off the bench, and he is exactly what we need. McKibbon is TOO SLOW for a bench halfback.
