You've missed out the best player in SL!

Sam Tomkins. He is having a great season, and is still quality. Also, Jackson Hastings and Bevan French have been terrific for us.

Just watching the Fox's wonderful effort against Souths, made me look up the UK records.

The last player to score 6 tries here was Lesley Vainikolo (remember him?) for Bradford Bulls in 2005.

Sorry mate I do try and keep up with as much as possible here in Oz but I can only watch so many games a week.
I mostly watch the Frogs and either Castleford or Hull games.

I’ll add those names as soon as I can.

So, quarter finals of the Challenge Cup. Warrington and Saints are already through, Wigan play Hull FC and Castleford play Salford later today to decide the other pair. The Challenge Cup is the rare sight of free-to-air league coverage on the BBC.

I’ll go Hull and Castleford

A wise choice...

We were terrible. That is two lame departures from the CC in successive seasons. Not impressed.

The game seemed really slow in places, I don’t think it was the game people were making it out to be.

I think Cas are favourites, but if GI comes good for Warrington...

Saints will obviously be favourites in the other tie, but they haven't fully convinced this season, much like Wigan, despite being undefeated in the league so far. But I don't think it's any foregone conclusion, and I think Hull will trouble them.

KCOM Stadium wasn't ready for spectators fans of Hull FC say.

Fans say that dirty seats, no running water at one point and broken toilet seats were just some of the health hazards amongst what they described as poor Covid-19 practice.

Hull FC 10 def by Catalans 27
Halftime 4 - 4
Yes, go Dragons.

Warrington 20 def by Huddersfield 26
Halftime 0 - 20
Watched this game and it was a really weird matchup with the Giants just running all over the Wolves at the Wire and i thought that it would end up 50 nil, but the Wolves came out and almost overrun the Giants in the first ten minutes of the second half. Jermaine McGillvary and Lee Gaskell are very very good players and held their heads to help the Giants hold out the Wolves.
Good to have crowds back also and they tried hard to get their side over the line.

St Helens 28 d Salford 0
Halftime 6- 0
Good to see Theo get a try.
Why are Salford so bad with so many great players?

Leigh 16 def by Wigan 30
Halftime 16 - 16
I bet there were some very worried Wigan supporters ( moto748 ) at halftime.
Bevan French made 201 meters from 19 carries, Sam Powell 42 Tackles, Jackson Hastings 4 Try Assists 10 Tackles and a few dummy runs.

Castleford 22 def by Hull KR 26
Halftime 20 - 12
Tigers supporters would have thought they had this until Ryan Hall scored in the 47th minute, then two interchanges within five minutes and Ben Crooks scored not long after and the scores were tied.
A penalty try to the Tigers made it 22 - 20.
Had to wait until the 77th minute for another try which was scored by Abdull.

Not at all worried about the result, fumbler, we gave them an 18 point start last time. Not that our slow starts are anything to boast of; Leigh are easily the poorest side in the comp. We need a fair bit of improvement yet. And a couple of prop-forwards.

As for Salford, I dunno about 'so many great players'. Most of their best players and ageing and have their best days behind them. And they don't have a strong squad. As their results reflect.

Good to hear, hope Wigan are strong come finals as the league needs them to be there.
Have to have the best drawing clubs in there, look at the NRL as soon as Broncos or Melbourne aren't in them. Also since the Knights have been out of Finals the NRL must of lost money.

Salford
Elijah Taylor
Ken Sio
Krisnan Inu
Lee Mossop
Rhys Williams
Pauli Pauli
Kallum Watkins
Greg Burke

Certainly they could of scored out of this lot, plus a few of the second rated players have some ability.

Salford Red Devils 16 lost to Wigan Warriors 17
Halftime 14 - 10
Didn't watch all of the game as it wasn't all that inspirational to me, besides the halftime score that is.
moto748 have you got a report for this game?

Warrington Wolves 38 d Castleford Tigers 14
Halftime 16 - 10
This for me was a upset win as the Tigers had been travelling rather good, halftime was close but the blow out in the end was just not good enough for a side that wants to play finals.

Catalans Dragons 20 d St Helens 16
Halftime 8 - 2
This has to be the best ever win at home for the Dragons, some very good tactics were in play during this game. I watched this game and thought before the game that the Dragons were going to get rolled, but they played above their past games by a country mile in the first half they monstered the Saints.
You just don't give Maloney easy penalty shots or Yaha, Jullien or Ksiano when he's on any room to run, they just use the momentum to give them strength.
Garcia and Bousquet were awesome in the forwards.
The second half was a back and forth tussle which the Saints started to dominate but they left it for to long to have a triumph and the Dragons in front of a small crowd won out.

Leigh Centurions 6 lost to Huddersfield Giants 44
Halftime 6 - 10
All i have to say about this game is McGillvary, Lawrence, Leutele, Wardle, and does Sezer know where the sticks are or what.

Wakefield Trinity 28 d Hull Kingston Rovers 12
Halftime 16 - 0
Did Wakefield get out of the blocks and cruise to victory or were HKR just passengers in the first half?
The second half saw HKR pile on their 12 points in as many minutes only to have Wakefield do the same in reply.

Leeds Rhinos 12 lost to Hull FC 18
Halftime 8 - 18
Have not seen this game yet.

Yeah, we were rubbish! But we keep winning, just. Still haven't played Cats, Warrington, or Saints, though.

I didn't mean it like that, just thought you may have watched it and told us what was going on.

Catalans v Wigan will surely be a great game this round.

Yes, Cats will be a test for us. One of our issues have been, we never look like winning a game in wet conditions. This is clearly a forward issue. And Cats did well to turn Saints over, and without Sam Tomkins too.

Huge result, mate. Didn't see that one coming.
