Talk of Bevan French going to Newcastle next year. After a very difficult start to his Wigan career, for one reason or another, he has been absolutely incandescent for us this season. Our back three have been just superb, in defence and even more so in attack. French is SL's top try-scorer with 24, and our local lad on the left wing is joint third on 18 with our full-back, Jai Field (he also scored the winning try in the Challenge Cup Final, and I guess life doesn't get much better than that!). But we have Field for 2023, to have them both for another year would be fantastic.
