Idiot Savant
C'mon Toxic, call it like it is buddy.
Woeful selections. Bugg, Brown, Stanley and Dixon shouldn't be anywhere near your side, and Gibson, Rich and Yeo are, well, let's say speculative at best. Jacobs understandable, but I couldn't fathom why anyone went past Goldy, Nicnat and Gawn this year. Gawn was a lock, and if you didn't want to pay Goldy's price you went with NicNat.
Gawn was nowhere near a lock at the beginning of the season. Firmed a lot through preseason but was an adventurous pick before that. I started with him, nervously. He'd been great the second half of last year but hadn't managed a full season and I don't think anyone truly trusted him to make it through in less than several pieces. Many people were also wary of Nic Nat. That's why Sauce and Stef - and to a lesser degree Mumford - were starters for so many.
I'm not even sure Gawn's a lock for me at the beginning of next season, as much as I love his work. I went with Goldy this year and although long term it was the right decision, I could have got him significantly cheaper if I'd waited a bit.
