I was going to choose a defender as I have none so far but LeCras sang to me.
 
next year the draft league simply MUST be organised to start on a specific night and time that all involved parties can agree to and smash it out in one session.
make it a 5 minute limit so that if they're not on or going too slowly it gets picked for them and keeps it flowing to guarantee that it's done in good time. 10 minute limit ABSOLUTE MAX!

realistically picks shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes (even when the guy before just took the player you wanted) so i def feel that the above system is fair.

the way this has gone is frustratingly bad.

As long as its finished before the season starts, I don't see the issue. Its also quite nearly impossible in some cases to guarantee a specific time for everyone.
 
the first night everybody was online besides juddy who it seems simply forgot to log in to the draft for when it was organised to start :S
he was last online 30 mins before the draft started and was browsing on bigfooty for agers during his first pick timer until he had to be private messaged after about 20-30 mins since seeing he was on to get him to take his pick.....
picks were getting done within minutes before that and the entire thing would've/could've been finished or at least close enough to it on the first night.

and the issue is that it becomes an inconvenience having to continually check bigfooty to see if it's your turn to pick or log in to the draft only to see that you're still 5 picks away or whatever.
you guys may have the time to continually be on bigfooty/checking the draft but it is a ridiculous way to conduct it a week out from season opening.

i ended up choosing to leave the league as i didn't want to end up being the person taking 16-24 hours between my picks ruining it for everybody else simply because my life it seems is significantly busier than most at this point in time.
i did want to play this but a flawed draft design made me leave for everybody elses benefit.

what i said was a logical suggestion.
if you guys prefer illogically stupid systems that's your prerogative i guess.

You seem impatient. Season doesn't start tomorrow.

Just because it doesnt suit you, doesn't make it an illogically stupid system.
BUT in saying that i would prefer to do it with 90 sec picks.
1 you get it done
2 knowing you only have 90 seconds and someone grabs the player you are after adds a bit of tension.

Then perhaps you shouldn't have joined in the first place, given that there was always a good chance that it would turn out like this.

i didn't leave for my benefit mate.

i wanted to play this thing but i knew if i stayed under the stupid system i'd **** it up for everybody taking a day between picks and we certainly wouldn't have finished by the time the season started.
