What did everyone think about the wkends games? I thought Dempsey showed enough he will be a good pick up!

Developing a bit of a man crush for Hamish Hartlett! If only he played for a better team! Has had injury concerns but unders at his starting price IMO.

I think Heppell is a good pick up if your after consistentcy. Will probably avg 95 - 90 by seasons end but then again a few cheapies like lake/hargrave could do the same

DIVISION 4 ESSENDON PRE LOCKOUT REPORT
Break out the fine china, chill the lemonade, tie a ribbon around the old oak tree! Gentleman IT'S TIME!!!
With the NAB Cup done and dusted, it's time for the Big boys to come out and play and show the rookies how it's done!
After changing team structures and strategies everyday for the past two months it's time to lay your cards done on the table, and put your money where your mouth is! (so to speak)
Will it be the guns - rookies approach coaches will be gunning for? Or the very tempting mid-priced strategy? Where their seems to be a plethora of decent players in this bracket this year.
And how many GWS players is to many? The scribes out there are saying 5-6 max, but by going by last year with the introduction of the Gold Coast Suns, I feel it's more like 4.
Will we see the teams battling out for a top 4 spot rest their superstars against a team like GWS for more meaningful games? There's a sneaky chance of the likes of Pendlebury, Murphy, Cox etc etc having a week off or even coming on and off as a sub to keep them fresh for the business end of the season. Certainly i think teams playing GWS later on in the season are more likely to do this.
Will this change anyones strategy on how they pick there premiums and Captains week by week this season? In most cases no. But in some cases such as a player like Dean Cox this could apply.
Dual Position Player changes this year is where the season will be won and lost IMO. With a few tweaks to the rules, coaches have the ability to chop and change their teams a bit more then previous years. This will certainly come in handy when the dreaded byes come into play aswell as the final few rounds of the year when players go in for surgery.
It'll be interesting to see how many coaches by into NAB Cup form this year? In previous years i've fallen for the so called 'myth' that is NAB cup form from most players, only to regret my decisions by about round 5!
This year i've taken a different approach, trying to take NAB cup scores out of the equation, except of course the GWS kids.
Finally I really hope our division can smash other Essendon BF Leagues out of the park this year! Gonna be tough beating divi 1. but i'm up for the challenge! I hope everyone else is too!
Looking forward to the lock-outs coming up in the next 2 weeks. Don't be sitting their 10 mins before lock-out, trying to finalize your squad. Cos that's where you can panic and mistakes can happen!
I'll try and post reports and leaderboards thru out the year to try and make our league a bit more fun and exciting!

no real timeline on zorko, at a guess i would say he'll be right at about round 4 or 5.

Changing my captain to mummy 5mins before game time last night killed me!
The good news was I had Kennedy on the field and left Sheil on the bench.
Also don't have Jmac in my squad! Played well last night, but looking like he will miss 2-3 weeks with suspension! Also had bugg as emg. Praying smedts doesn't play round 1.
Can't complain to much with my start, take the good with the bad.
How did everyone else go?

Cos I have bugg as emg. I can put a player on the field that won't play r1 (hopefully Smedts) to make my emg count (bugg 88pts) I can't see my back 6 & 7 defenders getting 88 points this round so I think it has to be done!
