Just completed a mega inter team trade in draft. Gave up Deledio, Robinson, Bartel and Prestia to get Fyfe, Hodge and Harry Taylor.

I generally love any trade, you gave up two Fwds so I guess you had some depth there? As a Bartel owner I also feel like selling him :-( Prestia I like but what has he done lately? You get the best mid and two veterans who shouldn't miss any games from here. Depending on your team structure/makeup, I like it

Yeah we have captains. I think it's a pretty fair trade, Fyfe is obviously a bonafide gun and permacaptain material but I gave him 4 players who can average 100+. Deledio is the best forward in the comp by a mile when fit, Robinson is solid, Prestia/Bartel are playing shit but could easily turn it around. Both Hodge and Deledio are injury prone - there's risks on both sides. If Fyfe goes down I'm basically boned.

Actually it was 4 for 2. He just threw in Taylor because he didn't need him after getting Bartel.

This is my first year doing Draft and the first thing I noticed was that it's basically impossible to come up with trade deals that are fair and satisfy both parties (especially since most people are only interested in ripping you off). The only way is to find someone else who has a team structure where they require the players you are willing to offload and vice versa. Here was my team pre-trade (don't ask how I ended up with Beams):

Bartel, Rampe, Docherty, McMillan

Ward, Zaharakis, Prestia, Armitage, Viney

Stef Martin

Jroo, Motlop, Robinson, J. Martin

Bench: D. Beams, Deledio, Greene, T. Bell, Westhoff

I picked up Greene, Westhoff, J Martin and Bell all as free agents so that's how I have so much forward depth (though none of them are truly good aside from Deledio who hasn't actually played yet). I can easily cover Robinson so while he was probably the most consistent there aside from Lids I don't feel like he's a big loss. A Martin, Greene or Westhoff aren't much worse than him but obviously more inconsistent. Prestia I replace with Hodge. Really it's Bartel and Deledio who I lose - I'm essentially downgrading Bartel to Taylor and Deledio with one of my benched M/Fs while gaining two gun mids. It's a fair deal IMO and I'm pretty happy with it.

Gunston, Rockliff, Hanley for Beams, Hodge, Bell. Opinions? Looks good to me.

Whoever is getting rocky and Hanley is winning that trade IMO.

i think if u break down each player and compare;
Fwd; Gunston > Bell
Mid; Hanley = Hodge, this depends on how many games u think hodge will play and if you think his AVG will be closer to 2015 or 2013/2014
Mid; Rocky = Beams, both guns, both injured atm.
So for me the trade comes down to hodge vs Hanley. I prefer Hanley and Gunston
Also keep in mind not too have too many players from the same team

Hey guys, need your opinions on Andrew swallow, has been a gun in the past it can't seem to break 80 this year. I could dump him for bcrouch or Whitfield. Problem is I think he could turn it around... I can't find much info on him in other threads. Tackles seem high but so do frees against and poss seem very low, change if role maybe with Ziebell going well?
My other mids are Pendles,rocky,j.lewis,Hanley,Gibbs,s.hill,a.miles,k.mcintosh.
Need to start 7

Spitters been on the decline for a few years now. Cooked as far as being SC relevant IMO. Grab an up and coming SC gun like Whitfield who's a very good chance to have a break out year and average 100+ this year.

I took Jacobs and Barlow pretty damn early and they've killed me.

Also have Wines who is averaging 90...

Must be so hard for you having a playing ruck and all.
I started with Sandi and have Lycett as back up. I also started with Lids. Think he died alongvwith Richmonds season and Rocky who ate all the donuts, of which Ive had 2 already this year.

So thanks for being so understanding mate, you're the best :cry::D

Agree with you guys, I ended up taking the trade. Basically turned over 7 players in one day. I probably won't even field Rockliff this week :$

I feel your pain, I took Pendles (over goldy :-s), Rocky and Barlow. Trying to move Barlow on now while he still has some currency. Popular opinion is that he will be dropped to the magoos soon

Barlow playing Carlton this week and Mundy is still out. Should still score decently.

Just noticed J. Lonergan is sitting in the waiver, considering swapping out Ibbotson for him.

First thought is do that as i think Ibbo is an inconsistent, injury prone list clogger
But looking at Lonergan's stats this year he hasnt been very good
What are other options on your waiver wire (WW)?

Need to take 2 of Greene, Westhoff, J. Martin and Motlop this week. Leaning to Hoff and Motlop.
