What pick would you think is best in an 18 man league?

Also, is there any way to do a mock draft? I'd like to see how each team stacks up if players were to get picked in order from averages last year to see which pick would be best in that scenario.

Just a quick question from a draft rookie, i picked up mcveigh in the backline, yet being half pissed when i did it i forgot to pick up a defender on the bench to cover him until he is back. Can you not trade players in that no one else has got after you pick your team once the real stuff is on? or can you only trade between eachother once your team is finalised? cheers.

You can trade your players for free agents that aren't picked up by anyone.

Praise the lord, when are you able to do that ? all i can do atm is request trades with other coaches already picked players.

Hey mate, there should be a list on the RHS with players ranked by last years average, which you can sort via position

Has anyone had trouble with the interface? Had my draft last night and couldn't get the "draft as" button to work, instead I'd have to select a player and wait for it to autopick

Anyway had pick 2 in a 10 man draft. Ended up with

Backs: Mcveigh, Birchall, Docherty, Hurn, Salem (Lonergan)

Mids: Fyfe, Rocky, Jelwood, Coniglio, Shuey, Zaha, De Goey (Josh Kelly)

Ruck: Tippet (Z. Smith)

Fwds: Lids, T.lynch (GC) Motlop, Dixon, Cameron (Hogan)

Wanted a bit of a youthful team so pretty happy with the outcome

Unlimited, and you could do it now if your league has already done the draft.

Just 'trade out' whichever player you want to cut, then selct the 'trade player in' option and pick the 'free agents' option. That will give you the list of free agents.

yeah well i tried to do free agent but nothing came up so i had to do the waivering option, not sure whats going on

Haha yeah we did, it happened in both of my leagues. I was on the wrong end of the draft order both times too.

It means anyone can lodge a claim for that player and at 4am in 21/3 whoever has the highest priority will get that player. Priority is usually reverse ladder order but I'm not sure what it is straight after a draft.

Thanks heaps mate, that makes sense. and you can do as many of these as you want? also what happens after 4 am tomorow does it just mean that after that you can trade in any free agent after that without having to give anyone else the chance to try and trade that player?

Yep exactly, and unlimited throughout the year. Following each round, the waiver system is in place for the first 24-48 hours (depending on league settings) on all free agents. If players are bid on during this time, they go to the bidder with the highest priority. After this initial period, free agents are Also, players who are "delisted", i.e. the player you drop to take a free agent, are then under waiver for 24-48 hours.

First 6 rounds I've drafted Shaw, Rockliff, Dusty, Montagna, Blicavs and Rance.

Yeah pick 5. Shaw and Deledio were my first 2 picks. Rucks flew off the board early, got Tippett quite late in the piece.

I got Shaw and Lids with 9 and 12 in a 10-team league last night. Not expecting any such luck in the tragics draft tonight.
