1) sam butler - training? likely to play any time soon? still cut down with OP?
Unlikely to have a DT/SC impact this yr.
2) macnamara - a realistic chance at round 1 on preseason form?

Masten more gms I would say but Ebert 12 odd.

I think he'll be in for a pretty good season,
It's hard to say whether his SC ratings will drop, probably, but I'd say he's still worth the hefty $520k he'll set you back.
What surprised me is Pavlich being 50k more than Brown. I'm aware he averaged a little bit more than Brown last year, but Pavlich doesn't tear games apart in the same manner that Brown does.

I think Lynchie will be a FF for the most part, maybe will fill the CHF role through Hansen's possible injuries, but unless we pull Cones into the FF role and send The Q to CHF, I think he's better off at FF.

They take kicking efficiency into account. Not Chads strong point according to some but I actually think it can be good at times (like in the 06 grand final, didnt miss a pass all day that game)

Ive liked the look of Scott Selwood so far. Someone has mentioned that he may be focusing on year 12 studies this year ala Ellis 2 years ago.
Any truth to this?
Also on McNamara, someone said that he has being injured in the pre season? True or False?
He looks like he could jump in the midfield this year.

I've heard nothing of the sort re Scooter Selwood. I'd expect him to play a few games.
As for McNamara, He was training away when I went. He's played in the NAB cup game, I think he played in the Albany game too.

What he's actually done BB, as far as I heard, is split his year 12 studies over 2 years, by correspondence, so he can focus on his football.

After McNamara's efforts this pre season if he didn't line up for every game (not injured) this season i would be surprised. The amount of ball he is getting for such a young bloke has been impressive. Will be VERY interesting to see how he goes in a full strength side this friday.

Dean Cox. any reason not to get him? Will he fare better in SC without Judd + Cousins? may make no difference. is expensive. maybe others offer better value for a lot less.
Will Kennedy get a game? could he be a smoky?
and you think masten over Ebert?

Yeah i agree that was interesting. It doesn't matter but if he's not in the best players for the match after getting 25 disposals because he will be still getting heaps of points in dreamteam and thats what this thread is about.

1. Only reason not to get him is to save cash, but given there aren't many quality rucks, with Dean being far and away the best, it probably isn't a great idea. Will still be top quality given no injuries. No Cuz or Judd makes no difference with H/O - he does the rucking - no signs showing possessions will drop.
2. Kennedy will get opportunities (not sure how many). Has poor stat potential currently, so I'd stay away - much better cheap options i.e. Rioli, Hansen, Sellar, Tippett etc.
3. I haven't got either, but if I had to choose I'd go Ebert, given he's 1. cheaper and 2. has played pre-season games for WC and played well.
