You all now have access to the SPL 2015 Google Sheet, which will serve as your data resource for all draft picks, player positions etc.

This thread will be primarily used to post your draft picks, which I will then update on the Google Sheet as soon as possible (at latest, that same evening). I will also update draft list here on the forum.

Posting your draft picks here will look like this:

Communication will be entirely via BigFooty website. You can ask another coach that you know & trust to post a pick for you on this forum thread.

SPL 2015 - Official Rules


Squads
Each coach will draft a squad of 45 players. You must fill a quota of each of the 7 SPL positions as per below:

Weekly Starting Lineup
There is a specific way of naming your lineup. In summary, you must name 27-30 players each week (22 starting, up to 8 as Subs).

I will create a Teams thread for every round, where you can list your 30 players for each week.

Subs can come on to replace someone in the Starting 22 in the event of a starting Player scoring lower than the named bench player in the same position (this is to ensure a Best 22 scenario). This will assist with minimising or even eliminating the impact of Late Outs, Injuries, Sub-Affected players etc.

SUB RULES:
- Midfield Sub can only replace a Midfielder
- Defender Sub can only replace a Defender
- Forward Sub can only replace a Forward
- UTILITIES (2) can replace either Key Defender, either Key Forward or 2nd Ruck
- Extra Subs (3) can be of ANY POSITION and are optional


Weekly Starting Lineup (Bye Rounds)
The above format does not apply during the Bye Rounds. During Rounds 11/12/13, you simply name anywhere from 22-30 players of any position (that are playing that week), and your Best 22 will score. With an approx one-third of your squad of 45 having a Bye during each of these weeks... this is the simplest method to tackle the Bye Rounds


Your Weekly Score
All players scores will based on SuperCoach scoring system, with data derived from FootyWire.com and/or Herald-Sun website. Your weekly score will be the average of your Best 22 (including any donuts aka 0’s). So, if your Best 22 combine to score 1996 in SuperCoach points, your weekly score = 1996/22 = 90.73

A fixture will be created with our head-to-head matchups for the year. In summary:

• Rounds 1 - 20 is the Home & Away Season
• Rounds 21 - 23 is the Finals (top 2 get double chance, same format as IPL in cricket)

In-Season Drafts for Free Agents
There will be 3 Drafts for Free Agents (after Round 5, Round 10 and Round 15). For each of these... you can de-list up to 5 players from your squad and pick up Free Agents (must be of same positions). Draft order will be REVERSE LADDER order.

If you have someone in your squad who has been confirmed as 'out for the season', you can also de-list them for an EXTRA PICK in the Free Agent Draft (also must be replaced by same position player).

Player de-listing deadlines and Draft timings will be posted in the days before the In-Season Draft.


Trading & Keeper League
Trades between coaches will be allowed up until completion of Round 10 only.

Proposed trade to be posted in a Trades thread, and if 2 or more coaches Veto the trade in a 24-hour window, the trade will not pass. If 1 or 0 Vetoes, trade goes ahead. Any trades (1-for-1, 2-for-2, 3-for-3 players etc) must maintain the same number of players in each designated position as per the Draft at the start of the season.

eg: You cannot offer a Key Def for a Ruck.... it must be Key Def + Ruck for a Key Def + Ruck


Each coach will be given the option to retain up to 25 players of any positions, with the remaining de-listed players going into the leftover player pool for the following years' draft.

yep, and doesn't include overnight (10pm - 8am)

hopefully we don't have to enforce the Time Limit rule, provided we all check in regularly and do our picks

even as low as 6 picks per day will have us ready for Round 1... obviously we are aiming for 16+ per day though
