If any of you were ever ummming and ahhhhhing over doing this, I highly recomend it! Had the live draft 2 nights ago - was awesome! Made fantasy footy so much more intense! It's a total freak out, 5 picks until it's your turn, pick 4 ackup players that you want... watch them all get taken before you.. your turn comes up... PANIC MODE!

Alot of strategy too.

My team ended up looking like this:

Def- Shaw, Bock, Heppel (S Thompson)
Mid- Murphy, Wells, Ward (Ziebell, D Swallow)
Ruck- Mummy (Maric)
Fwd- Cloke, Adams, Hurley (Brown)

Overall pretty happy with it - might offer Mummy up for a trade and snag a better forward option. I figure Mummy + Adams will score less than Maric + 'better fwd option'.

EDIT* BUMP!

Me and a few mates did our draft all together with a bunch of laptops. Which was a laugh and good fun. Spite picks, changing strategy, bickering / arguing over players etc.

Found that the draft league has already got old though with nobody trading, or even checking their teams and what not. Everyone in league seems to just be just focused on regular SC. Maybe should of made it cash league to keep interest up.

It's quite easy just to swoop on players from free agency rather that trade with others. Only 10 teams in comp equals big free agency to choose from. Almost seems pointless even doing as even just plain old bragging rights seem to stick to regular SC.

Anyone else had the same / similar experience?

Will probably do it next year too, but cash league to keep interest up or seems pointless.

A mate has told me about this show. I gotta check it out. Might download it tonight... legally of course

SC pro this year is crap. We paid the 20 dollar subscription last year and had a ball with it but they've chopped it down to 15 player list with only 10 scoring players. Last year was a 22 player list with 18 scoring and that brought out the true talent spotters as your team had to run deep. We also had a heap of trades as my mates and I supported different teams and players from our supported teams were taken by other coaches as ransom. Some ridiculous overs were paid to get them back into the fold but that's all part of it. As soon as we found out the change in list size we asked for our money back and used a different website.

That sounds a lot better. Like I mentioned it seems too easy this year. Any errors made in draft can just patched up easily in 'free agents' list. Ha! Players as "ransom" That can kind of happen this year but not as much due to shorter team list.

There has literally been no trades in our league yet as you don'y need to... stupid. Waste of time really
