Re: Dream Team Questions

Hi guys,

didnt see another Q+A thread on here

Just a few questions regarding some of your boys

I was wondering how much time these players might look like getting at the start of the season:

Gumbleton
Jetta
Johns

Thanks in advance
Please excuse the previous posters Sarcasm.

Gumby, has struggled with a limited pre season and may play some games later.
Jetta, hard to say, but doesn't get a lot of the ball for mine.
Johns will play a lot, but of course he gets a lot of injuries.

I don't have any of those 3 in my fantasy teams.

Will be handy as a cheap bench option though, alongside Davey and Houli.

If you're looking for a second bench forward that you dont expect to play all that often, and to free up some money elsewhere....Jetta is ideal. As long as you have someone like Edwards from the Kangas as your first drop forward...you wont need to rely on Jetta. Ive really scrutinised the forward options in terms of the young players and pickings are slim this season for forwards under 100K. Jetta, Davey and Edwards are well suited.

Re: Dream Team Questions

Obviously not.

My thoughts on Houli have been well documented. In summary, I don't think he'll have the impact this year that a lot are expecting. Five games or so.
Id like to think he'll manage at best 10 if we dont win games early on. If it appears we're dropping off early again, Id be willing to bet a minimum of 10 would be a possibility.

Winderlich.

Relatively cheap, will get plenty of midfield time and we're all expecting a big year from him.

Re: who still step up for you this year

How's McPhee's pre-season been? Has he racked up the possies, and is he fully fit?
When on song, he certainly racks up stats with the best of them. Its been a long while though since he's done it consistently. 04 was an exceptional year for him...has set himself a high standard.

Winderlich will have a '"Jobe Watson '06 " type season. Watson was a bargain last season.

Not sure how important tackilng stats are to Supercoach, but if they are then Alwyn Davey will be a steal.

For defenders Fletch will score big points this year playing a more attacking role.

p.s if you're having a bet on the Brownlow, put your house on Sandilands.

Andrew Lovett and Angus Monfries

I am considering these two players for Dreamteam and I was wondering how their pre-season went and what position you think they will play the majority of this year.

thoughts appreciated.

Everyone would agree with that, This year, his worth is pretty spot on, although you can buy better at Watson's price for midfielders who score goals also.

I held my faith last year and got on Jobe at the start and it paid off big time. Thinking about hanging it on Winders this time around, if it's going to happen for this kid this is the year...

Tackles are worth 4 points in supercoach, on that basis i have Davey in. He is awesome value based on pre season form.

DreamTeam: Monfries Or Lovett?

Ok i tried to research their stats for myself.
But still i don't know who to pick of the two for the last spot in my fwd line in dream team.

Lovett = $279,100
OR
Monfries = $261,800

Anyone know who will have a bigger season? (Dream Team Points Wise)

Thanks
