Why the f**k do they so this? I think they must enjoy pissing people off.

It might have made a bit more sense if at the end of the last ep, when Dean asked for help a white light or some shit descended from the heavens (God?) and it had ended on some kind of cliffhanger. As it is there's no real suspense they need to draw out

But I think they're just ****ing with us

Hate to drag myself back into this one, but IMO, half the arc episodes are filler, nothing ever happens in them and the plot moves around so slowly. That's what filler is, just making up the numbers. That's as opposed to a properly structured episode where the two go investigating some sort of supernatural occurrence in a small town, usually with a great setup and fantastic ending. That's what the show is all about, for me. Two brother hunters travelling through America dealing with supernatural bad guys. Not the heaven vs earth or lillith or yellow eyes thing or whatever. Unless it's a finale which is usually action packed, those episodes feel like filler half the time.

That's not to say one is good and one is bad, they're both part of the show. But just because it has no lucifer in an episode doesn't make it filler and just because it does doesn't mean it's not!

You must be joking.

Your opinion and I respect that but man, you are dead-set the only person I know (albeit through a forum) that has this line of thinking in regards to the central arc.

You honestly believe nothing ever happens in them?? Perhaps venturing back to Season 1-3 is the way to go for you as you seem to find the Angels/Demons/Vessel/Apocalypse storyline boring.

I mean more in respect to now, in the early seasons the arc episodes were really good. But you'll have this arc episode like when that woman angel (hot as, pity they killed her off) goes all terminator, the story didn't really move at all.

Like what do we know from this season:

- heaven vs hell
- God nowhere to be seen
- brothers are set up to be vessels

apart from that there's nothing much, it just moves around really slowly and for the most part covers themes from last season like Sam's bloodlust from last episode, Dean's lack of care factor etc etc. I'm sure the last few episodes of the season will be BRILLIANT as always and moves things along spectacularly but right now that's not happening.

I don't mean to bag the arc as much as I do, I just want to defend the so called filler episodes that get a hard time on here!

Fair enough Vico :thumbsu:

FWIW I enjoy the filler eps, but I throughly enjoy the current arc.

Not however enjoying the massive gaps between eps......would the Winter Olympics be the reason for the break this time do you think?

Lol'd when the zombies start picking the lock to the closet, pretty damn good ep as Ron said, possible now that Bobby won't be around for awhile; looking foward to hopefully seeing the AOD soon :thumbsu:

Thought the Zombie ep was pretty boring, maybe I've just seen way too much zombie fiction in my time and Supernatural was never going to do it justice with only about 20 minutes (once they found out they were zombies). I was very tired when watching so could have been that, though.

However, latest ep IS awesome. One character was a serious blast from the past.

Hoping the writers don't feel the need to kill off Cass or Bobby as we get to the business end of the season. They've killed off pretty much everyone else and it's not really necessary at all, it's cheap if anything. TV deaths are overrated IMO from a dramatic standpoint, much rather these guys stick around till the end of the show, they're great value.

Also bit hard to get the head around the guy playing Lucifer who's also playing Jacob in Lost and also recently played Rita's ex in Dexter. Are you good or bad????

And also the guy that plays the M.I.B. plays the Horseman War.

Enjoyed the latest ep, Cas has lost faith, Dean looks to have given up. Maybe it's time for Sam to step up and get them back on track. Hopefully the good standard continues until the end of the season.

I'm waiting for God to make an appearance in a later episode.

Somehow I don't think Morgan Freeman (in Evan Almighty, Bruce Almighty) or George Burns (deceased) would cut it.

If God is walking the earth, He must be wearing a 'meat suit' and would have to be someone religiously devout to give permission.

It'll be cool to see Dean give it to Him with "where the hell have You been?"
