Two filler eps in a row; no Alphas, no Weapons of heaven. Shattered

First 20 minutes did nothing for me except for Sam's "why can't I bang chicks" convo.

"I feel like I've got the crazy on me."

Disappointing episode, but hippy chicks and new camera angles ftw.

Yep and now we have a 2 week wait.

Besides Sam clearly not wanting his soul back ( and can you blame him?) nothing has been gained from tghe past 2 eps.

Should be a good run soon.

I probably sound like a broken record, but how is it filler just because it doesn't deal with the season arc? The term filler denotes lesser quality, but I would argue that these episodes are the epitome of what the show has always been about - two brothers travelling through the country killing whatever evil stuff they can.

Anyways, enjoying the season and good to see movement away from some of the older stuff of the past few seasons that had run its course. Seems the civil war story will come back, but hopefully not for a while.

I probably sound like a broken record, but how is it filler just because it doesn't deal with the season arc?

I only call them 'filler' eps because I wouldn't be missing anything crucial to the main story arc's if I was to never see that particular episode. In other words, you could totally disregard the latest episode (for example), and just watch the episodes either side of it (depending on ep10), and I'd be no worse off as a fan.

Yeah, good argument and fair enough. Perhaps, given how awesomely epic seasons four & five were in terms of story arcs, character development, etc, fans of the show expect more of the Heaven vs Hell, Angels vs Demons story line(s), as most of seasons 1-3 were spent dealing with the "...two brothers travelling through the country killing whatever evil stuff they can."

Thought it was a decent episode, nothing too great. Thought when Sam said to that alien hunter "have you ever considered you suck... at hunting aliens?" was rather hilarious

A bit annoyed that Crowley was killed off tbh, my favourite character after Castiel.

Agree that Crowley was one of my favourite characters. Never thought about Lucifer and Michael using Sam's soul as a plaything, meaning that putting his soul back in his body would be bad for Sam. I'm thinking that Crowley was working for another higher-up entity. Not really sure who it could be though. Next week's promo looks alright too; with Death coming back into the picture

Another good ep, it has me thinking though that Crowley wasn't the king of hell as he was killed way too easily. Also got me thinking about Cas and the war in heaven and what might happen to Sam and Dean if Raphiel takes charge.

Great ep. This series will never reach the dramatic heights of season 5, but it's certainly doing it's best to try

this ep just made u realise how strong Death really is!

the king of hell was too pussy to retrieve sam's soul yet Death does it in two seconds! he must be stronger than God and the devil i rekon

I reckon they'll reveal later that Death IS in fact God.

Wil be interesting to see how Soul Sam goes.

I deadset thought Bobby was a goner and that Dean was going to have to give Bobby the touch of death!

Look forward to see the ramifications of a now soul-full Sammy.

Never expected Death to be so powerful. Was also great to have Tessa back, for aesthetic reasons of course

Well after that long break the show definitely produced a good return.

Going to be very interesting to see what happens now as things are going to get well and truly crazy .

Also some decent one liners in there as well. Just glad this show is back.
