Yeh good ep, though cas should've been 'god' for a few more episodes i think.
anyway, looking fwd to seeing the leviathon in action.

Didn't mind 'smitey' Cas. Though, I thought they could've played with that concept for at least another episode.

Death v Cas conversation was captivating; for me, it's those kind moments I've loved watching over the past couple of seasons. Anything with Death, Archangels, Crowley, or Castiel, and I'm leaning forward & listening.

To quote a review, the Cas/Leviathan turn a minute from the closing credits was one hell of a curveball! Thought they were in the clear, then BOOM! Thinking we might finally get a appearance from the big G-man this season. Given it sounds like he and Death are the only things capable of stopping these new guys.

Small query - Shouldn't Death have known they would've been strong enough to do something like that? Still think the horseman has a part to play down the track.

Bit of a spoiler alert, but on the Supernatural wiki, regarding Leviathans, it says that
according to some religious beliefs, the archangels Michael and Gabriel are destined to slay Leviathans, so it'll be interesting to see if Michael/Gabriel get free/resurrected, especially given we know that Lucifer will play a role in Season 7.

Keen to see what happened to Sam.

Some great lines in this ep too:

Bobby: "Unfortunately I lost my god gun"
Lucifer: "Long time no spooning"

Loved the new 'white/black' opening titles.

Great to have the lads back.

Finally, here's an article that asks Sera Gamble and Bob Singer some questions about episode one.

The vessel is a devoted Christian who apparently prayed for him to take him.

Yeah I know, but it hasn't just been one angel, it's been:

Angel in;
Angel out (during which time his vessel was shot/stabbed);
Angel in;
Spontaneous combustion (courtesy of Lucifer);
Beating from an Archangel;
A couple million souls (plus Leviathans) in;
A couple million souls (plus Leviathans) out; and
Multiple Leviathans taking over.

And I'm sure I missed something.

I know it's a fictional show, but the writers must rate the strength of the human body pretty highly.

While physically hes been through a lot, I'd be more concerned about his actual soul. If its like demonic possession then he would've been through everything, watching Cas as he went about his business.

Yea if I remember back he is like a background viewer to the world of Cas (the owner of the body). If which case he would of had to of gone nuts with all the stuff he has seen.

Good episode. Great twist actually. I was so sure (as I'm sure everyone was) that Cas was going to be the 'villain' of this season, but now he's not.

Wonder what the Leviathans will do?

Maybe the Leviathans will try to get more vessels since there seems to be more than one of them. This would give the series some longevity with the guys having to hunt down each 'minor' Leviathan and eventually get to the head honcho (the one in Cas's body).

Just watched the first episode and loved it. Well it was good thinking I'm just loving that Supernatural is finally back and still going strong.

One thing I still want to know is if the anti-christ will make a return as from memory he was pretty powerful, wonder if he could help take on the Leviathans? As it's Supernatural I wouldn't rule out a return as they have brought back plenty of characters throughout the seasons.

Read some where that
Lucifer is a recurring character this season

Supernatural! Can't really follow the plotline when they choose lead actors like Jared and Jensen but I can cope :D

Decent ep but I can definitely feel that somethings changed with the show, in terms of it's structure. I guess the writers are trying to make it more continuous and have more flow. One thing I kept asking was why Sam never asked 'Lucifer' about the Leviathans. Surely they'd want to exhaust all possible options?
