I reckon Dean is so cold at times is because he is the 'perfect little soldier' as I remember someone calling him, he did exactly what their father said and didn't question it. For him anything supernatural is bad and needs to be killed. Whereas Sam always questioned their father and could see things in a different light (Kitsune & I'm pretty sure the werewolf in season 1 or 2).

I don't think it was cold.
Remember the last time Sam trusted something supernatural/evil? i.e Ruby. It basically started the apocalypse. Though that chick wouldn't have done anything like that but still, can't fault Dean for killing the chick.
If they go ahead with a few more seasons, which i hope, wonder if that kid will end up killing Dean. It seems as though they are foreshadowing it.

Anyway, liked this filler ep and hopefully back to the main storyline next week.
The last 30 secs made me cringe though.

That part seemed stolen directly from Kill Bill :p

Still good on the eyes though ;)

the bar chick wasn't too bad either

Supernatural - can cast.

Surprised how well they've maintained the quality of the show.

Seeing as they haven't finished the show as it could have with Lucifer, hopefully it goes full circle when it does eventually end.

This season has been the poorest, and last season wasn't amazing. The last 2 episodes in particular have been shocking.
Well there has to be filler episodes... this weeks was pretty boring but i reckon last weeks ep was one of the best filler episodes for a while.

Without the last 5 minutes, the ep was probably the most boring and pointless in supernatural's history.
Nice to see something can kill/hurt the leviathan.

Was your typical monster of the week ep. While the leviathan was easily subdued, those 2 witches seemed insanely powerful. I'm not sure where Dean and Sam can get that kind of power to be on their side.

Maybe taken long enough but I'm kinda over Supernatural now. Think it went probably a season too long, most eps these days seem run of the mill monster hunts (monsters which have already been hunted mind, how many times have we had witches ffs?).

The Leviathans and Sam's managing of his hell memories aren't really story arcs I find absorbing. I understand there is legitimate historical/mythical context behind the Leviathans, but to me it just reeks of desperation on behalf of the writers, "Ok we've covered every concievable monster from Werewolves to Dopplegangers to Dragons, demons, angels, Lucifer, Archangels, Alpha beasts from Purgatory, the Egyptian god of the Afterlife, what's next? What's even older and stronger than all those things? Leviathans!". It kinda reminds me of DBZ, started off as Super Saiyan being the ultimate and ended up with like Super Saiyan 3 fusion or some shit.

Apparently the last 5 minutes of this ep got good, but I stopped watching about halfway though. I really hope Ep 1 wasn't the last we'll see of Cas, Crowley and Death for a while, probably my 3 favourite characters, and without even Bobby this episode it seemed a little stale to me.

I reckon it's time for Jensen Ackles to take the directors reigns again :thumbsu:

You should kept watching.. it's not that bad.
Here's how they finish the show
Sam and Dean start counselling the Wife and Husband witches, Dr Phil style, because they are having a shitty domestic and they could destroy the whole town if angry enough. Cringeworthy i know. Last 5 mins sees the Leviathan catch up to Sam and Dean and is about to kill them, when the husband witch steps in and temporally KO's it. Interesting to know something can hurt a leviathan... but i thought it was a monster that was 'unkillable'

I will keep watching the show, however after Kripke's 5 arc, the quality of the show couldn't possibly increase, it had to decrease, especially with Kripke standing down as main writer/producer.

Not overly worried about Supernatural, it always seems to have a bit of a 'lull' period throughout the season then picks up towards the end as everything comes together.

It was always going to decrease with Kripke not being the main writer, but I think it will get back up to it's normal standard soon.

"just by pms'ing at it" :D

"should i slug her" :thumbsu::thumbsu:

i love this show

They'll probably have a few more of these type episodes and then bring the heavy hitters to finish it up

DEATH
CAS
CROWLEY

while i'd love those guys in it every week, not gonna happen, so no dramas from me

Well... a much better episode than the previous ones..
Though soap detergent???? wtf were they thinking there. It better have a real meaning to why it can affect the leviathans.
And great, another Sam hissy-fit

Scene in the car was gold.

The soap thing wasn't very good I agree, although they did say it was sodium borate, which I guess is a type of salt. Long stretch though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_borate

I reckon Crowley is going to try and get onto Sam and Dean's good side and try and 'help' them while of course getting something beneficial out of it.

Would be cool to see Cas again, but I think he might be done for unfortunately.
