I wanted to post a thread about him last week but there were a lot of player name threads on the board already but after todays display I just had to give him his due props.

How good was he today????

He and McVeigh would have to be two of the most improved players in the comp this year and I reckon Teddy has easily been our best contributor over all 5 games this season. He seems to have improved his spoiling and marking to a level where he is rarely beaten one on one but also his decision making and disposal have improved out of sight. We all knew what he was made of after his heroic 2nd half in the 06 GF but I think he has finally taken his game to the next level and is now playing some outstanding, consistent footy.

Yep.

Unheralded hero of the backline today. The difference could've been MUCH wider if the Cats had Mooney firing. Love the way he's improved his body work, pretty much :thumbsu:

*On defenders, I think Sean (Dempster) would've been pretty handy for us today. Missed his height and booming kick.

"This is a story about an ordinary teddy bear. When he was made, they found something wrong with him, and threw him away like a piece of rubbish into an old dark storeroom. Then from outer space, a spotty man bought him back to life with his cosmic dust. He took him to a magic cloud where Mother Nature gave him special powers. That bear became Super Ted!"

Quite a fitting nickname :thumbsu::D

BRILLIANT STUFF! Is that like from a show or something, because those words speak the truth about Teddy's footy career when he was at Essendon.

Yeah, thats pretty much what I was getting at.

It's from the TV show "Super Ted" , used to be on ABC in the afternoons. I'm only 28 but it may be a little before your time.

I remember Super Ted!

He is going around doing his work unnoticed at the moment. Has improved a heck of a lot since coming to Sydney

Definitely remember watching SuperTed on the 5:25-5:30pm time slot on ABC just before Captain Planet (Or Tin Tin) every week day at after school care.

I'm 23.

Haha, you remember the time slot. I loved watching Arthur, I would always rush home from Primary School and switch on the tele at 4.

"And I say Hey!" :p

Arthur was cool :D

Blinky Bill was and still is very much one of my favourite cartoons ever. Got the pleasure of meeting the lady who does his voice a couple of weeks ago too, lol.

Remember me - I was the biggest thing on the footy field in the 80's. There was tight shorts, helicopters and a fresh young band called Bros. You boys could have used me on Saturday with no Hall.

I called but they said you were out foraging for 'stop' signs.

Big Ted has really taken off this year and I agree that he has been one of our most consistent. Will take a bit of pressure off LRT when he comes into the backline. Never seems phased to take a hit which I love about his game.

Considering you created a new accout just for that gag, you'll be disappointed that it sucked major arse. Sorry:eek:

What I can't believe is that Essendon wouldn't give the bloke a fair run at it.

They would be spewing about it now. I'm glad we got him.

Does anyone know what's happened with Reg???? He was a late withdrawal the other week and has dropped off the radar since. He would be the one to use in place of Big Bad while he's getting over his wrist injury. It would of made him or broke him, then we'd all know if he was a long term option.

I talked to him on Wednesday and he said his foot's getting better, he's doing light exercise and will hopefully be back on the field soon!
