Along with Gene Simmons from KISS, the lead singer from SuperTramp had one of the most underrated voices in rock IMO. Fave songs are long way home & the Logical Song.

I like the production on their records; very bright and polished for the late 70s. Big fat drum sound.

Supertamp are, of course, MASSIVE GEEKS, as are their fans . But somethings about them were pretty good. Sung some absolute crap too, I'm sure.

Dreamer is a great song.

Not exactly a heavy meal Darky, but I also enjoyed thier subtle melodies. Everyone has mentioned thier top hits as the gems.

Had the four main albums of theirs (Crime of the Century, Crisis? What Crisis?, Even in the Quietest Moments, Breakfast in America) on vinyl but when I changed over to CD, couldn't be fagged buying them all again so I just went and got The Very Best of Supertramp, Vols 1 & 2.

Normally a Volume 2 of any best of series is a lemon but this one ensures you have everything that you could ever want from Supertramp. Over the 2 discs, you have 29 tracks in total and that means you've got all the best stuff (mainly from those four key albums too) and only the real poop has been omitted.

School & Bloody Well Right - Hard and direct

Ending with the relaxing Hide In Your Shell.

Superb musicianship all through.

I actually saw their last concert in the 'proper' line up (Davies, Hodgson, Thompson, Halliwell and Benberg). Outstandinbg show.

I grew up on Breakfast in America because my dad listened to it religiously but I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks they're actually pretty cool to listen to! They had some really catchy songs! And if I remember correctly, the way that Breakfast in America was put together, it was kind of like it was telling a story....maybe I have it wrong though

Hide in your shell is a classic- It will opitimise Supertramp for all time
