I haven't 'given up' footy.

But I certainly have a different perspective on it compared to when I was a kid/teenager, and a different perspective again since the Essendon/AFL doping program debacle.

No it isn't. It is how you perceive it.

It has cost them a shot. Rd 16 of 2013 were all set for a challenge until the AFL leaked the penalties and it all went to s**t. Than the eventual ban has set them back a decade. Playing well this year but no where near it. And their list demographics are a mess.

They will be for a few years but hopefully in 3-4 we'll have more in the 24-26 range

Hurley, Hooker, Heppell from the ages of 22-26 or 24-28 (Hooker) were virtually lost because of the saga. Carlisle, Hibberd, Ryder ....we were contenders I tell ya!
