In light of Matthew Egan taking legal action against an Orthopaedic surgeon and the Geelong club doctor, will there be more oversight in aggressive procedures to get players playing footy again?

Some things to discuss:

Dane Swan's wrist fusion.

Dyson Heppell's open reduction, internal fixation of his metacarpal to play football a few days later.

And that's only a few cases we've heard of, imagine what players have done in the past that's been kept quite.
I know I'd do " what ever it takes" to overcome an injury to play finals.

I'm actually surprised Geelong, especially the medical department, didn't make Egan sign a waver that protected the club &/or surgeon against any future complications from Egan continuing to play & put the onus on himself.
