surprising stat hawthorn has never beaten collingwood in a finals match or a match where they met in a finals series.

collingwood has won all times when ever the two teams have met in a finals match eg elim final, semi, prelim and never played off in a grand final either.

collingwood bet hawthorn in the 1979 and 1980 night pre season grand final at waverly park.

amazing stat

think the same apart from 1980 gf collingwood has beaten richmond in all of the finals series matches too. Apart from the 1980 GF.

I was definitely at a 2012 qualifying final where Hawthorn did in fact defeat Collingwood

Imaginary stat in your mind.
1978 says hello to you...

Unsurprising stat... by my count the OP has missed correct capitalisation at least 11 times in the OP. I'm not sure where other punctuation is meant to go.

  • “Richmond and Collingwood have met in ten finals matches, with the Tigers winning six and losing four.
  • The two teams have met in six league Grand Finals, with Richmond winning two (1920 and 1980) and losing four (1919, 1927, 1928 and 1929)”
How does that work given Richmond lost to Collingwood in 2018 PF?

10 finals games, Richmond 6 wins, Collingwood 4 wins.

6 grand finals, Richmond 2 wins, Collingwood 4 wins.

Geewizz, I must have dreamed up that 1973 prelim when Neil Balme was BoG. Melbourne Bitter in those days must have been pretty strong.

And who is this wicked battleaxe lying next to me? TIMOKANE, can you make her go away too?

That was how the RFC website worded it, which was a bit silly. They’ve met in finals 16 times, including grand finals. So finals record including GFs is 8-8
