It wouldn't be Bigfooty Politics without a 'How long?' thread. I think Ley will, in fact, lead the Liberals to the next election, but not much longer than that.

Does Susan Ley like wearing sstockingsAlexander Downer as Opposition Leader for eight months should roughly be the line, odds on under or over that.

I remember seeing Downer get heckled on the first day of the Adelaide Ashes Test in '95, nothing bad but a few dead man walking comments and remember thinking how bad it would have to get for a Liberal leader to cop it in the member's at Adelaide Oval. He resigned on the last day.Does Susan Ley like wearing sstockings![]()
The Liberals need to cut Sky free and let them drift entirely into obscurity.I can't imagine her still being there by the time the next election rolls around especially as she seems to have the bloodhound gang at Sky News against her.
Probably just an interim solution for 18-24 months until Hastie takes over.
Nah the proper big footy thread is "The Liberal Party - Where are they at?"It wouldn't be Bigfooty Politics without a 'How long?' thread. I think Ley will, in fact, lead the Liberals to the next election, but not much longer than that.
Fairly accurate assessment I think and goes to show just how much of a battle Ley has on her hands.
Do the liberals have any alternatives? One to two years. Can't see her contesting the next election.
