Love ya Swanny. Sensational gamw and illustrated why he is and has been for years now the premier player at Collingwood. For mine he has been the 2nd best performed player in the AFL 2007-12 and today illustrated why.

Would be leading the Copeland again after 5 rounds

We are so lucky to have Swan and his heir apparent as one of the best few players in the comp, Pendles, both at the top of their game at the same time

I was going to start a thread for this, but this one will do.

I am going to put my virtual hand up and apologise to Swanny for a few cannings I have given him in recent weeks. Not on this forum, but just amongst mates etc. I even dropped him from my supercoach team (ouch!!). I thought he was just going through the motions and playing out his contract, already talking about retirement, with nothing left to prove.

But he almost single handedly won that for us yesterday, and agree with others that it was the quality, moreso than the quantity of his work that was most significant.

Well done Swanny, you are back on my favourites list!

There's nothing to apologise for.

Swan was shit for the first 3 rounds at LEAST (I'd argue 4) and needed the kick in the ass. I'm hoping Luke M reported some of our comments back to him and they were the ones he referred to in the media.

He said 'supporters jump off'. Rightly criticising shit performance from a Brownlow medallist isn't 'jumping off'. It's calling a spade a spade.
