2005 - had a one point win vs the pies then played Richmond the next week and overcame and 4-5 goals deficit. 2017 beat the dons by a point then came back the next vs the tigers in the same manner as above. I think it was the exact same rounds.

In 2005 the Adelaide crows topped the ladder, Sydney played a john Worsfold coach west coast in the first week of the finals and played Geelong the next week in a semi final.

2017 - exact same as above except Woosha is coaching Essendon not WCE.

Played west coast in GF cousins win the Brownlow, swans won flag.

2017 vs dusty Brownlow and defeat Tigers??????

I think so

Dustys got it. Swans will win the prem and defeat the team who's player won the Brownlow. Another similarity that this season has with 05.

Just waiting for us to get done In the dying seconds from a snap goal. Just trying to work out who's gonna play the Nick Davis role. Maybe Jack, perhaps Pappley. Or does Buddy kick four final qtr goals?

Fmd.

After his horiffic 2014 gf you would think he might show something if he ever got the chance to redeem himself, what a weak weak player.

Swans really need to make a statement here if they are serious and cut someone that obviously cannot perform in big games.

There's no doubting John Longmire is a good coach.

He coaches his team to play an attractive brand of football that usually sees a lot of success during the H&A season (obviously not even mentioning the fact he's coached the club to a flag half a decade ago).

But particularly from the perspective of a Hawthorn fan (and seeing the same style expose them tonight) - how many times now have the Swans been exposed by a certain style of gameplan come finals time?

Is it time questions were asked of him?

Sydney has arguably one of the most talented lists in the competition. But year after year they look second rate come finals time.

Particularly as the Buddy deal starts to chew into more of their salary cap going forward and starts to squeeze out some of the talented, but lesser paid players on their list ... !do changes need to be made at the top to make the most of this list?

Their over reliance on Buddy is a problem, like Hawthorn before 2013.

The team did let him down tonight as well.
