Good summary.Australia won with a cobbled-together side. We have 2 batsmen at the moment, a world-class keeper, and a couple of great bowlers (of whom three of them we hardly saw).
I think the difference was that one team played test cricket, while the other team tried to change what test cricket is. When the time came to play test cricket, England were incapable and their players had to re-learn how to do so while on the run. This is why Bethell's innings was so significant - he played a test innings and showed that they can do it. To be honest, I didn't think much of Bethell before the series but now I'm a believer.
If the Poms go back home and continue to play their Bazball without learning their lessons here, they are destined to beat up the minnows but will always run second to India, SA and Australia.

The Poms were also underprepared physically, mentally and emotionally. Five days was far too much for them until right at the end.Australia won with a cobbled-together side. We have 2 batsmen at the moment, a world-class keeper, and a couple of great bowlers (of whom three of them we hardly saw).

BF’s Ashes 11:
1. Kiama Chris - technically strong, reliable
2. dosser - gritty and won’t give away wicket easily
3. McGowan3 - positive mindset, needed as a number 3
4. Punts - reads the game well
5. Mister B - tougher than tuggah
6. bedford - excellent keeper or dare I say GloveMAN
7. JackHiscoxWasFast - only cos he can run fast between wickets and for his love of tall WA all rounders
8. Wheresbuddy - technically strong, bowls it on a 5c coin
9. zyzzbruh - knocking over the timber with his no nonsense style
10. Wolfgang West for his valuable cameos
11. Dan87 - cos you need sensible no 11’s
Late to the gameIgnore the Tasmanian star then as usual
Labaschange hasn't scored a ton since 2023 in England (which broke a mini drought). At that stage he had 3767 runs at 54.59 in 42 tests and 11 centuries. A nice stat line.
Since then he has played 21 tests and scored 890 runs at 26.96 with 9 50s. Not good enough for the number 3.
Our batting stocks are very thin and our excellent bowlers are getting old. The cliff is near.Labaschange hasn't scored a ton since 2023 in England (which broke a mini drought). At that stage he had 3767 runs at 54.59 in 42 tests and 11 centuries. A nice stat line.

I was an opening bowler that's why the knees a f'd , never kept in my life . Need a new George Bailey on here and Wolfgang West couldn't even bowl pies !BF’s Ashes 11:

Bloody short form specialistIgnore the Tasmanian star then as usual
Their preparation was sheer hubris - they thought they could just roll up and smash us into submission. The Poms were also underprepared physically, mentally and emotionally. Five days was far too much for them until right at the end.
Stokes is a fighter and a decent player but tactically terrible. Smith and Cummins aren't great but were miles better.
Head, Carey and Starc carried the series.
Yep, I get frustrated by the short stuff to the tail as well. Just put it on the stumps for goodness sake. Mind you, the short stuff often works so once again, I never said I was a GOOD captain.Smith not bowling Boland in the Poms 2nd inn in Melbourne until they were 50 odd could've cost us 5 zip and the short shit he asks Green to bowl with 6 on the boundary which is so frustrating , i just hate that stuff , bowl normal with maybe 1 extra back and then there is the pathetic shit for Marcus
Was to Root and Brook , they gave Root a ton by bowling the shitYep, I get frustrated by the short stuff to the tail as well. Just put it on the stumps for goodness sake. Mind you, the short stuff often works so once again, I never said I was a GOOD captain.
I have never been interested in the BBL, but one of my clients has invited me to the medallion club tomorrow night for the Stars v Renegades game. Who do I throw my passionate support behind? Red or green? Can we keep this going and talk about BBL ?
If so, how unconvincing is Babar Azam ?
and the Stars, finishing the year off as a polar opposite to how they started and to last year.
Hope smith and crats will come back to boost the Sixers.
Tim David out is not good for Tasmania nor The King!
Can’t be any thunder fans here as they are the GWS of the BBL.
Will scorchers get Green back, as a Sixers fan I sure hope so !
Red if you’re a Sixers fan. bedford who do you follow - I’d guess the StarsI have never been interested in the BBL, but one of my clients has invited me to the medallion club tomorrow night for the Stars v Renegades game. Who do I throw my passionate support behind? Red or green?
