Swans furious with St Kilda; kick saints out of pride game

There is no "us and them" You're making an assumption that isn't true. No one cares about people's sexuality and we sure as hell don't need to draw attention to it, like they are some sort of circus act. People despise this virtue signalling crap. It actually does more harm than good.

Irony is you are proving why the pride game is required

NO ONE CARES about people's sexuality, buddy. That is the proof why we don't need crap like this. And anyone who does care isn't going to change their opinion based on the Swans wearing some rainbow colours. It's cringe, pointless, and smells of virtue signalling. It changes no one's mind. Scrap it.

And, Jesus Christ man, you don't need to keep responding. We get it. You don't agree with me. Fine. You don't need to keep saying so. You weirdly enjoy the pointless virtue signalling and I don't. We disagree. End of story.

You realise its not about sexuality entirely ? Its your mind going to that initially

Dont post here then , we get it you are against a pride match.

Im supporting it , you are against it. Yet you are making the most noise.

I will never comprehend the more bigoted people are , the more they play the victim.

Answer one question . How is a pride match impacting you personally and directly ?

Have you even listened to word I've said? Its not about me. All this pride stuff HURTS the very thing they are trying to help. We have largely solved the issue here in Australia and the minority who disagrees won't change their opinion because the Swans have some cringe-worthy rainbow colour on their jumper. What it does in reality is hurt the cause, because it draws attention to something and publicizes what shouldn't even be talked about. If someone's gay it shouldn't rate a mention. But by drawing attention to it, a player is less likely to come out, because they know they will get public attention (which will obviously be positive attention), and be all over the newspapers and social media. And while the might sound good, no one wants their private life put over the newspaper. If you really support the cause you shouldn't want this. You should want it to be so normal that no one says anything, and no one finds it newsworthy. But by having a "pride match" you are drawing attention to it and therefore making it less likely for a player to come out due to unwanted attention.

I would suggest you don't care about that because you are probably more interested in signalling your own virtue for everyone else to see. If you really did care about a player coming out, you sure as hell wouldn't want a public pride match to draw attention to something that should be normal enough to be ignored.

It's funny how the different codes approach this. The large cohort of Pasifika players and supporters find this all distasteful and so the NRL ( apart from Manly's abandoned attempt) don't try to push this.

Contrary the AFL, who have fewer Evangelicals in their lists by by no means none. Only a single player has objected to being forced to agree to something they find objectionable. The AFLPA and the clubs are a lot less democratic than their NRL counterparts.

You really need to get educated. What a sad and sorry post this is.

You are a poster boy for why these things are required. Have a great weekend!

Another strident post on how you really don't care.

St Kilda have an opportunity here to really stick it to Sydney, by unveiling the first openly gay player in the game. Sydney will be absolutely seething!!!

Over to you, Saints recruitment team.
