All other teams should watch out. If the swans lose him they will step up their efforts to 'poach' a star from another club

The AFL will assist, of course

Kelly gone for most of the season has to be the worst news for the Swans and also footy in Sydney. He is a great person for the game of aussie rules and without him in 2000 and with no plugger the Swans are in trouble. Let's hope for footy in Sydney's sake that he gets back sooner rather than later.

I think all footy fans wish him a speedy recovery, but the demise of the Swans would open the gate for another top eight contender >:)

All these good wishes from people are a mark of how highly regarded Paul Kelly is. As good players as they are, the likes of Wayne Carey, James Hird, Nathan Buckley and Gavin Wanganeen often draw abuse. I haven't heard too much criticism of Paul Kelly.

yeh we love kelly up here in sydney. i do wish they would stop continuing to call him 'inspirational'though. (even though it is true )
i reckon he will be out for ever now. you can't run into brick walls forever.
membership remains high despite a relatively poor year. new players are looking good and the average swan supporter is getting better informed and not 'star struck' for a capper, breretton, plugger, etc.
we love fosdike, goodes, bolton, etc and i hope the swatta can lift one more time ...maybe brownlow?
