OMG! Don't you guys ever just say, "well done." They did well. They won. Yay. Give them confidence for finals. End of story.
Wasn't suggesting that they didn't play well. Reality is though, when it comes to final round games and you have a chance to determine the home ground you play at and your opponent, these things happen.

Just finished watching the replay

We ran over the top of them in the last quarter. Crouch swapped McLaren and Aliir and it worked a treat. Aliir looked dangerous up forward whereas McLaren was a non-entity for the 3 quarters he was there. The difference between the two was Aliir was getting to contests at pace and impacting the contest even if he didn't get the ball. We also got some favourable umpiring calls in the quarter but we took full advantage of them converting them into points.

Aliir also looked good in defence in a key position post while Richards had a different role but also did it with aplomb in shutting out Sansbury for 3 quarters. Rose I don't think got many touches but always looked threatening when he had it, he's full of confidence after last week's game. Bird and McGlynn solid in the midfield without ever being dominant while Davis played one of his better game in the midfield, in the first 3 quarters he spent there. Bit puzzled how Marsh got 2nd best honours, it's not that he had a bad game but I didn't think he did many good things either.

Newman hurt his right shoulder about 7 minutes into the last quarter and came off. Mills only played the 2nd half, pretty sure the other guys returning from injury like Bird, McGlynn and Melican played out the game but sometimes hard to tell if you're not at the ground.

With the finals there is a listed player restriction of 15, which is the same number we had today.
